Coscom thread?

Noticed they're making new forums for wig+prop commissions. So much for a new and improved marketplace.

Vaguely coscom related- did anyone else notice that JasonTerror made an ACP (female) account a few weeks ago?

YES! I also noticed he's selling a lot of his older male cosplays on the marketplace...

He's the terror or coscom.

She is off her rocker if she thinks she's going to find someone to do that under $45. Now, to wait for Mykaios to come in and give her speech like she does in every ad like this (or the ones I've seen).

The BIGGEST and most annoying faggot of Coscom. Pretends to be a mod, general asshole to everyone, thinks he's a wig expert when he doesn't know how to do a simple high ponytail wig, and thinks he gives the greatest advice ever when his work looks like... well...

Holy fuck that is awful.

Ugh. People like Jason are the reason why I almost never post on Coscom anymore. Whenever I post a reply in a help thread, I'll always have some braindead poster shunning my advice and being a general "I'LL DO IT MY WAY" or "No, do it my way! I know more just because I'm me!" moron only to crash and burn later. Can't take people like Ninbri either since I can't figure out what the fuck she's doing. She makes an ad in the marketplace about how she'll do wig and gijinka commissions and yet turn around and post an ad looking for someone to do them for her??? I won't even get into her stupid posts in the Cosplay Commissions group on Facebook... The stupidity there it outstanding. Nowadays I'll just lurk there to read and laugh at the stupidity. I've given up posting there since it's impossible to make friends on account of the general userbase being a bunch of derps, assholes, or people you just don't want to associate with. Went to Facebook and I'm enjoying it a lot more since it's easy to actually carry a conversation and make friends there.
>>
Appears Admin has no intentions of putting the Marketplace back up judging by the latest "updates."
>>
>>6578970 (OP)
She is too busy with commissions? Who would actually believe that? She has very little in her gallery, and what is there looks like ass. She should make her own stuff if she wants to actually save money. I hate stupid people who think others should do shit for free. The fabric and shipping will eat mostly into that $45. Fuck her.
>>
>>6581523
I hate people like that too and unfortunately, Coscom is full of that type. Recently someone trying to put together a cosplay wants me to sell an item for them a good $10 less than my listed price and put MORE detail into it which of course, will take more time, labor, and money for supplies. And they don't even wanna pay the full price of them item plain as stated in my listing. This happened on Etsy but it also happens to me on Coscom a lot. I fucking hate people sometimes.

He apparently had a single discussion with a friend two or three months ago and came to the conclusion he's trans. So now he's gone super kawaii lolita.

Image related, a screencap from his tumblr.
>>
>>6581872
So now he's gay and desperate. That wasn't too surprising. I'm still facepalming over how he came to a "realization" that he's transgender after a single conversation over a one week period and refers to himself as being a "trap" because of it.
>>
>>6581879

His "trap name" is Jeimi Ann, which totally makes him sound like a stripper with that kind of spelling.

... What a fucking terrible mental image.
>>
>>6581882

>>

>>
Ugh, JasonTerror. That's like my mental mascot for all that is wrong with Coscom. The only reason why I go there anymore is to sell stuff.
>>
>>6581889

this ans even then, you get people messaging you their sob stories about how they can only pay $5 for a $30 wig.
>>
>>6582267

*and

I can't spell today.
>>
>>6581540
Ugh, I hate when people do this! I was advertising some new lace front wigs I'd purchased and never used because plans changed. I was only asking 1/2 the cost I paid for them and this bitch PMed me asking if I'd sell one of the wigs to her for $20 including shipping because she was going through a rough time in her life.

I wanted to write back and say, "No, fuck you. If you're having a hard time financially, put cosplay and other non-essentials on hold and put what money you do have toward the shit that really matters, like paying bills and keeping your electricity and water on. Sell off shit you don't want/need anymore for extra money and get a job or take overtime to fill in the gaps."

Instead I just wrote back in a professional manner that I would not be able to honor that offer but that she was welcome to make another one.

On a Coscom marketplace-related note: One of my friends convinced me to open up a Storenvy. She's sold off a number of things already. I listed a few items last week and sold a wig last night. I haven't promoted or told anyone about the stuff I'm selling, but it looks like it's supposed to work well with social networking sites. The person who bought my wig wasn't anyone I know from any network I'm on so people do browse and find your stuff. Sooo those of you who have old costumes etc, it might be something to look into. It's free and payments go direct to your paypal.
>>
>>6582298
Ugh, why do these assholes feel like cosplaying is their divine right or something? When I couldn't find a job and my mom got injured at work I did the sane, rational thing and stopped cosplaying and sold some of my old costumes because I'm of the opinion that making ends meet is more important than dressing like an anime character. These entitled douchebags man, jfc.

And it's always the same story: "Waaaah, my parents got laid off and I can't work because I have restless leg syndrome so sell me your $200 costume for $25 arigato~"
>>
>>6582298
Thanks for the suggestion anon, I will be putting some shit on store envy.

Thread related, I know your pain. It is SO fucking annoying. Also, I get pissed because I have some wigs that just won't sell, presumably because people don't want to pay what I'm asking for them (which is very reasonable). One is brand new with tags. If I could ever find a brand new wig in this brand that had tags I'd gladly pay what I'm asking. I always have to pay through the nose on a website to get them. I am not lowering it any more, I just hope someone will eventually come along who actually understands what the fucking msrp and original shipping costs.

On the opposite end of the spectrum I saw someone selling one of Arda's wigs, claiming they never used it, and it was basically a damn bush. The funniest part was that the bangs were cut across the forehead, which is not how the wig is sold. So clearly it has been worn and severely mangled too. She wanted 40 bucks for it I think, which iirc is what they cost new.
>>
>>6582346
Fuck, this. Rangiku12 used to be the absolute worse about this. I was selling a complete cosplay (wig and shipping included) for about $70 and she messaged me, asking if I could let it go for $30. And she would have to pay in installments. No, fuck you.

And don't get me started on those people that can't fucking read. When I list, I clearly say whether or not shipping is included, if I'm willing to hold, and if I want to trade. The very last time I did a hold, i asked the chick to pay half as a down payment and then the other half when she got paid. She asked if she could pay $5 and then the rest. Not happening. Then she asked if I could create a private ebay listing for her. Fuck that noise. I told her that I was taking the costume off hold and she was welcome to buy when she had all the money. And then sold it to someone who could pay immediately.
>>
>>6578970 (OP)
What is coscom? What does that even mean?
>>
>>6582843
Nigga you trollin?

Cosplay.com - play. = Coscom
>>
>>6582713
Man, in general with Arda wigs, people seem to think they are holding gold no matter what horrible things they've done to the wig. Just having the name alone does not mean you can successfully upcharge a wig you destroyed and cut retarded derpy bangs into.

If it's brand new or in excellent usable condition, I'd still expect it to be a better deal than buying a new Arda wig from their site, you know?!
>>
While we're griping about Coscom marketplace stories, every damn time I listed something I'd always get at least one person that would comment "Oh I love this!" or "I wish I could buy this!" and once even "I want to buy this!" The last one never messaged me so I messaged her and then she never replied. Fuck. That. Shit.
>>
>>6582913
Samefag as the person who you replied to. I definitely know what you mean. I also agree that a wig that is new, with tags- regardless of brand- should not cost what the site asks for it. When people buy from a site like that, the site has a reputation to maintain so you expect a different kind of service level. At least that's how I see it, maybe that is a bad way of explaining it though. I have a brand new wig that I'm asking FAR less than msrp for (new with tags, legitimately not worn lol) and people still won't buy it. Arg coscom users are frustrating. So are eBay users though. I have several watchers on the wigs every time I list them. I've dropped my price a little several times now and the cheapskates still won't shell out the money. As I said before, if I could find such good deals for wigs I wanted to buy I'd feel so spoiled ._.
>>
Annoys the fuck out me that noobs will dish out $60 for a Coscom wig but the same wig but better quality I can't even sell for $30 shipped without people going "I can give you $20 shipped."
>>
>>6583473
Admin did not give his blessing on your wig that is better in several aspects. Therefore, coscom noobs who want to buy their own version of "burando" do not want. It's sad but a name does mean more to many people than quality.
>>
>>6583034
I often wonder if people think you get special titles or something for commenting enough times. It's not that kind of forum, but some of the comments like those you receive on your items make it seem as though they are just trying to bump their post count in hopes of getting a star sticker.
>>
>>6583034
I hate that shit. It happens to me a lot whenever I'm trying to sell my old wigs and costumes in the Marketplace. If you can't pay, why even post?!

Yeah, one white shirt with moderate difficulty drafting. There are tons of small details and getting a fit like that is difficult with the seam placement.

Materials would probably be $15 at least considering it would take a full metre for sleeves that full and such odd shaped pieces, not to mention any trim fabric or threads and interfacing.

The creation process would be another 3hrs for a decent product by someone who knows what they are doing, and at $15 an hour or so... lol. Some nublet could make it for less I'm sure but it'd look like shit.

You are like a dog at a keyboard you have no idea what you are doing.

Jason, shut up.
>>
>>6590162
Going through his posts now and he actually went into some girl's selling post just to tell her to take off two non-cosplay items.
>>
>>6590188
I remember that. It was particularly funny when that Evaunit troll was calling him out on being a dick (ironic, right?). Jason could've just reported the thread and maybe PMed the girl if he felt it was his pseudo-mod duty, but instead he shitted up her entire sales thread making himself look like a total asshat in the process. But I think it was truly beautiful when he came into a previous coscom thread to try and defend himself, then went on coscom and made a thread looking for asspats and support.

I don't think I could have a much lower opinion of him but every time he comes out with more "doll" shit about how he's doing this and that but is very homophobic in earlier posts yet apparently "curious" and on Craigslist for hookups... yea, figure your shit out offline.
>>
>>6590307
This so much. I was completely shocked to go from hearing he's a bisexual transgender to reading his Deviantart journals from a month prior where he was so homophobic and calling people fags. How do you suddenly go from homophobic heterosexual and pondering about crossdressing to suddenly being bisexual and MtF in a month?
>>
>>6590356
It is possible he was in denial?
>>
>>6590360
Anything's possible but even if you're in denial it's still crazy to go from Point A to Point Z in a month. He says so much bizarre shit that makes no sense and makes me wonder if he even realizes what transgender is.
>>
>>6590390
I feel like transgen seems to be...trendy nowadays. a handful of girls/guys seem to think they are transgen now or they are cross dressing. I wanna guess its just a phase for him. Boy may be watching a little too much rupaul and blogging on tumblr.
>>
>>6590410
I'm not sure whether it's become trendy or everyone is just sort of becoming aware of it as a whole so all the transgenders that now feel safe enough to come out are making it seem like it's a trend.

I think Jason's issue is how he mentions he wanted to start crossplaying and then suddenly, bam! He's a MtF. Honestly I think he assumes that because he likes girls fashion and cosplaying female characters, he must be a transgender.

Of course I could be wrong but his use of odd terms and excuses that he's waiting until he loses weight to start presenting as female just strikes me as odd. It may be a silly comparison but if I hated my hair color and wanted it to be another color, why would I tell people "Well my hair is brown but I'm really a blonde.. I'm just waiting until my hair grows out to dye it." If I was unhappy with the color, I'd dye it as soon as I could.
>>
>>6590462
That could be it as well. Id also agree that it could be linked back to him just wanting to crossplay.
A part of me wants to see him start doing make up. If he's waitin to be skinny to show off himself being a lady...I guess this is the time to practice.
>>
I just read Jason's signature on Coscom and he wants to cosplay the FF7 version of Tifa, wat. That belly is gross. No one wants to see that flubber fly.
>>
>>6590307
your use if the word troll, I don't think you really know what it means.

No, I did not call Jason out for being a dick, I called him out for being a mental reject. Do not tarnish the ability of being a dick with Jason's level of retard
>>
>>6590151
I'm also not quite sure what she was trying to get at. I read reviews from actual transmen before I went to Coscom when I bought my binder. Considering the fact that they wear their binders day in and day out, they'd be a lot more thorough in their reviews.
>>
>>6591726
>I wasn't trolling
>called him a mental reject
Not defending jason, but you were trolling. You know it and we know it. Its okay.

So- where's gumigumigo? Boris is no longer the hero seagulls deserve? That one seagull that went on coscom and was the only one who made sense when she posted?

How did you all feel about seagulls posting in some of the drama? Some of it needed to be said, other times it was downright embarassing.
>>
>>6592158
Boris hasn't posted in ages and I have no clue who the third one is.

Eh, seagulls posting in drama is a mixed bag just like everywhere. I still say the shining moment was exposing that busty lady who kept complaining about how all she got was comments on her breasts when it turned out she was doing photos on Deviantart topless and even nude.
>>
>>6592173

>>

>>
>>6592253
You're a good little shit starter.

I can't really get into some of the threads there. It seems like they don't read what anyone else posts and its just a bunch of people in a room not really talking to eachother.
>>
>>6592296
Different anon but I get what you're saying. I've been trying to post a bit so it doesn't look weird to go from inactive for a year to suddenly posting to sell off stuff given how scammer paranoid everyone is now. It's really odd going through the threads now and knowing at one point I spent hours a day chatting on that forum while now I just post and don't bother looking for replies because it seems like everyone posts just to post and if you actually get a reply you're very lucky.

Also they've still got a Proud Asian problem.
>>
My biggest gripe about coscom is related to posts like >>6590151. You don't need to make another fucking thread getting opinions on binders because you're overweight. There are already several with lots of reviews on different styles given by people of all shapes and sizes. All you have to do is look in the right forum and there's probably a sticky already!

But no. I don't know if people are too lazy to look in related forums before they vomit out their question into General Cosplay Chat where it inevitably gets moved to the right place or if they have special snowflake syndrome where their situation is so unique that it couldn't possibly be covered in a sticky. "I need a binder and am overweight" yea, totally unique... kids these days.
>>
>>6592668
On the flip side, something that bothers me is when you make a post for help in the proper place and after looking around for an answer in the posts available and someone gets snotty and goes "Learn to use the search function!" and shows you some barely informational topic from 2006. Yes, I know I happen to be looking for a good wig suggestion for this character but if the only search thread result tells me to buy some shiny as shit Coscom wig, maybe I want a better answer that came from the past two years, not seven.

Face it, Coscom's search function is fucked up and people on the forums are either super nice or worse bitches than here in the way they'll shove something at you that doesn't even help just to make themselves look better.
>>
>>6593068
I've also seen people getting a hair up their ass for necroing an old topic for such reasons.
>make topic cuz old topic was shit
>omg use search
>...ok
>post in old thread
>DON'T NECRO!

Fucking..
>>
>>6593126
Exactly! They need to either start locking/deleting old threads or make some sort of official "What do?" sticky to clear things up once and for all.
>>
>>6593218
That would be entirely too helpful and therefore it won't be acted upon. They can't even be assed to update their own copyright date on the site's footer. LOL
>Copyright 2002-2011 Cosplay.com, LLC. All Rights Reserved.
>>
>>6593276
I really wish they would get their heads out their asses, shut down the wig shop, and fully focus on the website. Hardly anyone buys from them as it is and despite all the money they're making from ads and a few wig sales, they haven't been investing it back in updating anything.
>>
>>6592668
Yea, that's just as annoying. I research as much as I can and post questions here. I feel like there are people with more experience and less bias in some ways. The last time I posted a question on coscom, I made the mistake of asking a pretty advanced one about using rare earth magnets and what kind of adhesive was the best according to people's experience. I kept getting "Use Elmers or duct tape" responses. Granted this was like 4 years ago but I was so fed up with the ridiculous answers people were pulling out their ass and posting just to post.
>>
>>6593287
Despite what reputation /cgl/ has on Coscom, it's definitely easier to ask for advice here and you do get better answers. Hell, Coscom is mostly still in the mindset that duct tape and ACE bandages are the best way to bind. Of course not everyone thinks that but since teenagers and newbies make up 75% of the population there, you'd probably get five responses telling you to go for this super cheap Walmart option to do something and one person who tells you to go to a professional website that specializes in what you're trying to do.
>>
>>6593299
Its the newbies place. They live, learn, and end up here when they get better (or elsewhere).

Mm. I mention double00beaver and she starts posting again. Interesting..

Jeez. If it's a prop commission I'd think the choice of materials would be up to the person making it. It's not at all like a costume, it actually has to be durable and if the person making it knows they have to use certain materials, the buyer should just accept it. Not to mention they wanted it done in a month? I don't know of any good commissioners that have that short of a deadline unless they're making something super simple.

They posted this in a "gift giving at conventions" thread. If it brings back bad memories why are you posting about it and what the hell did you get?
>>
>>6594686
Pretty much this. I also don't know him personally but jfc, most of us commissioners have other jobs to support us. I do costume, jewelry, and small prop commissions and it takes me 2-3 months for big things because I work full time. My real, salaried job takes up 40 hours a week and pays a hell of a lot more than a few side commissions. Some people just need a reality check. What I do for costumes is give people some fabric choices I think would work best and let them pick shades etc. but I sure as hell am not going to accept a commission with someone demanding that I work with a material if I don't think it will be the best choice. Props and jewelry are my choice usually and I've never been given grief about it.

While props are not like costumes in some aspects, either needs to be durable, starting from using quality materials, paired with good construction, and finished well. Otherwise you're just pulling an Ashley and selling costume satin, slapped together for a quick buck.

Your work is a reflection on you no matter what you're making or doing: I won't lower my standards or work quality just to make a little money. I find it funny that that girl never posted "hard" evidence either. If you've truly been wronged, you'd be posting all the evidence you could, screen caps of FB posts, emails, etc. She's been threatening or simple text quoting. Pretty childish. I hope no one has the misfortune of actually taking a commission from her because that doesn't sound worth it. She seems like the kind of client who would be all up in your grill every day demanding progress pics which is foolish. As long as you get the work done by the "construction" deadline and shipped to the so it arrives by or before their deadline, it really isn't a huge deal if you skip working on something for a day. Coscom pet peeve (and maybe it's because I was raised this way and am old) but I hate when people make threads, get answers, and never pop back in to say, "Thanks for the replies, this will work!" or "I was actually going for XYZ, any idea how I can do this?" just no response at all. It doesn't happen all the time or in all sub forums but I see it often enough to take notice. Seemed like a common courtesy to just thank someone for their time whether their answer was a perfect solution or not. I also have no problem with someone calling another person's bluff when their answer is not at all helpful e.g. Jason suggesting every goddamn Arda wig under the sun when there are better wigs to suit a specific character.

He also strikes me as the kind of retarded faggot that thinks having an alarming amount of posts makes his shit advice more valid than that of a experienced/good cosplayer that have no where near as many posts yet has better quality work. Seen him do this way too many times like when he was looking for critique on his shitty Cloud buster sword. An awesome armor making cosplayer suggested he make it look a little weathered for realism and he herped so hard that he derped saying, ¨It's not supposed to be weathered.¨ Enjoy your shitty sword.

Damn, even with sewing commissioners typically know a fuckton more about fabric choice/construction than the commissionee. I agree there should be some interaction, but if the customer demands costume satin or things that must have rigid shape I'd fucking walk away. In every commission I've had I picked the fabrics but gave the buyer a rough estimate of the cost/type of fabric I wanted to use or each part.

Ah jeez, of course this thing would've made it on here. Yeah he really blew things way out of proportion. Last I checked too, I didn't see him make any payments on my account, so I fail to see why I'd be accountable for what materials I used. He wanted it March 8th. That's barely half a month after Katsucon. My page clearly stated I need at least 2 months prior to when a prop is needed, so I don't see why the explosion. If we hadn't settled things I would've really gone out of my way to make his life a living hell.
>>
>>6597078
This guy must be brain dead. He really needs to stop acting so damn entitled. He expects someone to both come up with a design (which of course can be time consuming) and make the helmet that lights up for only $150, and yet... he'll be using it to possibly profit off of. Am I understanding this correctly?

Eh. Teenagers, what can you do? I'm sorry, but when you insult my skillset and question how I do what I do when you're paying for MY work, you better be ready for the backlash because I don't do this kind of thing 100% for the fun, there's also profit involved.

EVERYTHING ARDAAAAAAAAAA.

I wanted to find his location and personally slap him upside the head. There was one thread a while ago where a person needed a blonde lace-front wig. I linked them to an ebay seller I had just bought a similar wig from and mentioned the quality was nice, it was heat resistant, etc. etc. Then he bust in insisting that Arda's Cady wig was way better... except that style was shorter than the person needed and about 3x more expensive than the ebay wig. But no, I couldn't possibly know what a good wig is because I don't feel like I have to buy everything from Arda.

Ugh, I hate all these "know-it-all" types that keep popping up.

Hur derp. Looks like wig master JasonFaggot doesn't understand how buying a base wig and wefts will save both time and money for thick spiked wigs. Dude has no right to give advice about things he knows nothing about. Anyone with a brain and budget knows that using two wigs instead of just buying a wig and some wefts will be unnecessarily expensive. He needs to get his head out of his ass.
>>
>>6603938
Not to mention that using two wigs creates a lot of waste. I have done it a few times because I had some wigs on hand and didn't want to buy extensions or if its a weird color you will never color match that doesn't come in extensions, but you typically can't easily reuse a lot of the fiber at the top of the wig. Obviously Jason has no concept of wig styling beyond Sora spikes though.

That irks me. I avoid those "Who do I look like? Who should I cosplay?" threads because it's based solely on looks. What's the point of cosplaying if you're only doing it because you look like a character that you knew nothing about?
>>
>>6606369
I really hate that kind of cosplayer. Especially when its from a series that I love... which is this case. I hope he gets extremely uncomfortable when people start asking him questions about the game. Knowing him, he'll probably throw a huge tantrum about it. I fucking hate attention whores like this. I see no point at all in cosplaying from something/as a character that you know nothing about and don't give a shit about.

>>
>>6606426

Given that when someone bitches about coscom users on anon and most tend to agree. But if the same comment were to be made from an actual coscom user (especially if you disliked them), you then bitch them out.

O you guys are amazingly hypocritical.

I think that's probably what a lot of people are doing here… Posting anon to possibly test the water and wonder how you'd react if it was someone you disliked.
>>
>>6606702
What? So far everyone posted have been people that everyone hates as a whole. It's just pointless for someone to go "Hey I'm ___ on Coscom and this person is a pain in ass because..." No one cares who you are, if the person you're bitching about is legit, then go ahead. If it's obvious vendetta, then we'll tell you to shut up.

I think the only people that have an issue with us bitching about Coscom users without saying who we are would be the people that want to know for one of two reasons:

1. They want to know who's saying what so they can dig up information on them and try to say "Well you said ___ about this person but you've done this thing right here so hah!"

2. They want to know who's saying what so they can start shit by exposing them.

In either case the only people that would care if the person trying to find out who is who. None of us care and the people on Coscom are pretty much oblivious to what we're saying so they don't care either.
>>
>>6606765
I think it'd be more along the lines of

Yea, I'm pretty confused too.

I don't think anyone being discussed in here is the result of a personal vendetta, seems much more like people noticing and calling out said individual's fuckery e.g. requesting a shitton of commissions and expecting quality on a pauper's budget, giving advice in areas you have no expertise in, being a bitch with a stick up your ass, and other general dumbassery, trying to shit up the marketplace even with useless statements like, "If I had money, I'd so get this" or "I'll give you $15 for this costume and plz ship 4 free" etc.
>>
>>6606988
This is why I'm so confused. No one has done anything but complain about idiots and provided evidence of said idiocy.
>>
>>6606988
I dont think anyone is discussing their vendetta though.

Anons were discussing whether or coscom users post here, then some said something about the coscom users would probably only want anons to reveal their identities (or not, don't fucking know) so the person that is being hated can avoid the users that do hate them.

Thats what I'm getting but I could just be wrong.
>>
So I noticed most hate goes towards Axelai, Spazz, and Jason.
What about other users? Lolilovely, Sam, Penny, Lithium, etc? Any noteworthy ?
>>
>>6607024
I can tell I'm out of the loop because I have no fucking clue who those last four are.
>>
>>6607031
I haven't been active in a while but what I remember of the last four:
Lolilovely is just an idiot who posts like Jason where she has no business posting, but is nowhere near as aggressive.

Sam and Penny are married iirc but anyway, Sam likes to stir up a good shitstorm with bold opinions and statements every now and then. Sometimes I agree, sometimes I don't but it's usually entertaining. Penny does the same but to a much lesser degree.

Lithium doesn't really bother me either, she just has opinions and states them. I don't know why she's not tired of repeating herself though - she replies to the same kind of questions in threads and it's always a pretty common sense inquiry too. I certainly got bored seeing those kinds of threads... who knows.

KKroxas or whatever the fuck her name is used to spam the marketplace selling shit she either didn't have or was trying to buy up shit.

No one really stands out anymore besides who's been discussed IMO. The noobs are asking noob questions and ignoring advice, same ol' same ol'.

I never understand people who want crazy amounts of money for simple things.
I understand the price for the props, but $160 + shipping for the actual cosplay that you're the second owner of? Unless this is super well made and out of amazing fabric, way too much to ask for a used Naruto cosplay.

I also remember seeing someone selling some crappy looking "custom" wig for $75 + shipping awhile back. Why?
>>
>>6607434
OH LOL, that abomination you're talking about was that dark blue Aqua wig right? I got way more laughs out of that than I should have. Some people are crazy.
>>
Whut... $50 for a Jack Frost hoodie from someone who has 1 costume in their gallery. You could buy and fuck up several hoodies for that price. I always wonder how some people decide they are "commissionable".

>>
>>6609782
My guess is they think that their stuff is good enough for themselves so it must be good enough to charge others for... even if it looks like a steaming pile. I saw some girl wanting to commission a Final Fantasy costume for someone since she found someone looking for one (which is the one she also made for herself). Went and checked her gallery and... wow, it was bad. She used cheap ribbons where she should've used pleather or canvas. The whole thing was a hot mess. It looked like babby's first self-made cosplay and I wouldn't even pay a penny for that girl's work.
>>
>>6609782
That.. doesn't even look good. It's more like vines than frost.

Charging 50 bucks for a 15 dollar hoodie they probably got at one of those 5 for $10 t-shirt place with white fabric paint scribbled on it.

That paint job probably took her an hour at most to do and it isn't even that good.

I'm honestly not hating - bids generally started at $0.99, so it's demand that drove it up. Good on her for using her internet popularity to make an insane amount of profit from a relatively cheap costume piece.

>tfw you don't have enough of a following to dupe people into bidding wars over cheap painted hoodies

Her used Korra went for over $450, too.
>>

Nah, I just find it ridiculous that people would pay so much. I mean, what's the quality even like? Maybe I'd understand the Korra cosplay, especially if it included the wig. I'm definitely jelly, though. That's almost $1000 for just the Jack Frost hoodies. Fuuuuu.

This is some of the WORST wig advice I've ever seen him give. This is a complicated wig that's 9001 years away from his skill level

Id really wished he had entered the arda wig contest. They should have kept him in the running till 4th place or something so we could see his fail.
>>
>>6610533
At least everyone that commented after him pointed out how utterly stupid that idea is.
>>
>>6610533
I'm not sure which part of his grand idea was dumber: dyeing a blonde wig with purple dye, using a clip-on ponytail for a character that has a very obvious poofy ponytail, or using paper fucking mache. Paper mache, really!? How in the fuck will you wash that wig afterward!?
>>
>>6610632
Thing is, he probably never washes his wigs so why would he consider that for a commission. So gross.

Hahaha, that's amazing. Purple over blond would've looked like absolute ass. It would also be a lot of work to get that dark a purple shade even w/ a white wig.

I hope the one girl who PMed that OP gave a place to buy a wig closer in shade. Wig dyeing isn't like using the color dropper tool in photoshop, it's more like tinting.

That and there's some brands and styles that'll be better suited for certain projects. The Jeannie and Jasmine by Arda for example requires a buttload of more advanced work for certain characters. Right now I'm fighting with a Jeannie to style into a White/Hilda wig... the picture on the website is extremely misleading. Those tail locks that look like they're on the side? >how he came to a "realization" that he's transgender after a single conversation over a one week period and refers to himself as being a "trap

As someone who's dated a few transmen I hate people like this. They make things look worse for people who are trans. Not even being a tumblrfag this shit is just annoying. Not referring to traps either because if some dude is pretty and wants to dress pretty than more power to him it's the "i can't get any so now I'm a woman" types.
>>
>>6615604
Agreeing with this. It's like you're either a male or a female in his mind, there's no way you can just be a guy who likes to crossdress. He went from straight male to bisexual MtF almost overnight. Dude, if you want to put on frilly dresses and make out with guys, just do it. Don't claim you're transgender with no plans to ever go through with it just so you can justify yourself.
>>
>>6615617
I bet you $20 he became a MtF because he can't find a cosplaying girlfriend. Just look at this http://www.cosplay.com/showpost.php?p=4309135&postcount=1591

ALL the characters he wants a girlfriend to cosplay as for him are the ones he now wants to cosplay. He's fucking pathetic.
>>
>>6615622
Ick, that does look pretty bad. Not to mention he's been whining on the singles thread about how no one is contacting him.
>>
>>6615622
Sounds about right. There's no way anyone comes to the conclusion and realization that they are truly transgendered so quickly. As someone else pointed out too, it was only months ago on his DA that he was totally gay/trans bashing and now he's suddenly MtF and looking on Craigslist for "encounters"? It's either for attention or because he's a sad piece of shit failure at life and can't get a girl, or both.

I guess he doesn't realize that a lot of male crossdressers are straight and in relationships with women. Guys can dress in frilly/sexy shit AND still be men and straight but that they just happen to like wearing garments traditionally considered to be for women. I mean, I cosplay as guys and do wear a fair amount of clothing traditionally thought of as "mens" stuff, but I still identify as a straight female, so you can like things without changing "identity".
>>
>>6615681
When you think about it also this could be a way of ensuring he can get a girlfriend. He couldn't get one as a guy but as a MtF and his "I can afford cosplay but I can't afford to start transitioning" status, he's just making it so now he can try and hook up with every type of girl from straight to lesbian. I can't wait until a lesbian turns him down and he rages about how transphobic they are.
>>
>>6615746
Hadn't thought of it that way hut you're right, he is making more options for himself.
>>
>>6615750
Too bad they'll run when they find out what a raging, insane, asshole he is.

To be honest I think Jason is a dragqueen in the making. His over the top flamboyance, his new name, creating entire new accounts for his female persona while acting like his normal bitchy self when not "being female" he's not a transgender, he's a dragqueen. I would say crossdresser but regular crossdressers just don't put that much effort into creating a separate persona like dragqueens do.

Yeaaahh, I know it's going to be inevitable, but I promised a friend cosplaying Kirito that I'd jump in as his Asuna. Maybe my friend will do me a return favor and impale Jason with a sword if he comes too close.

>>6617225
His dad came to Sakura-Con with him last year, but I didn't see him at Aki-Con in October. Apparently he likes con atmosphere? He seemed like an okay guy, made a few jokes at his son's expense when someone called Jason on talking out of his ass. When Jason was hell bent on being in Artist Alley for Aki-Con, he made a huge fuss about how it was going to be he and his dad at the table and whether or not it was allowed, and he demands that anyone who they take pictures of at cons credit them as "photo taken by JasonTerror's dad". He's got a little point and shoot and half his shots come out blurry, so it's not like he's a pro photographer. Still, not the person you want hovering over your shoulder when hitting on chicks, though.

I'll doubtlessly run into them at Sakura-Con if they're there, so I'll try and grab a shot of his dad for you all to see.

RE: more stories
I once had a discussion about hotels with Jason. I was suggesting a hotel that was $68/night cheaper but 3 blocks farther out and he told me that that kind of distance was unacceptable because he "sweats and gets tired when he walks". He later demanded on the con forums to know about eateries within a 1 block radius of the con so that he "wouldn't have to walk 3 blocks if there was a restaurant 1 block away".
>>
>>6616806
>his grizzled old dad

He sounds as bad as that PaperCutsEnvy/ Funtom Kitten girl who claimed she'd get all sweaty and tired trying to get dressed. How the fuck do these people do anything in their lives if they're this bad?!

But isn't it cold and rainy in October in Washington? How do you sweat over three blocks??? I have to walk 30 minutes ish to my con from the bus, not counting the walk to the bus from my house, and it's pretty much impossible in cold rainy weather to work up enough of a sweat for anything.

His dad sounds cool. Then again, I have a soft spot for grizzled grandpas/grandmas at cons. I want to be like that when I get older, to go around in my wheelchair and not give a fuck. Pic related (men pull it off better, but there are plenty of old women cosplay to go around)

Sorry that was OT.

His dad sounds much cooler than he does, at least. From anon's description, he sounds more like a chill bystander than someone as annoying or high-strung/dramatic as his son. Then again, I've seen this at cons before where the kid (whether legit child or an adult) is a total douchebag or dramaqueen and the parent is really quite cool to talk to and you end up talking to the parent more than their child. Might be the case here. I've gotten some amazing propmaking tips from cool dads and moms before while their child is whining about something. LOL

From the way he said it, it sounds more like "DUH RETARDS, NOT EVER-E1 IS IN HIKESKOOL DUUUUH"

I guess I can sort of see that, "school" sort of invokes the K-12 education vibe in many people's minds instead of also encompassing higher education and advanced degrees. It was obviously an informal sort of info/survey thing he was filling out so it's not surprising it didn't mention "college/university" or "education" as a place to fill in instead of using a general term like "school".

While I feel he could truly benefit from becoming a lot more educated and worldly, I know he's too stubborn, dramatic, and stupid to benefit from further instruction.

You probably weigh less than 600lbs and walk on a daily basis

Do we have an estimate of his height or weight?

It's hard to tell in his photos but I was guessing 5'6" - 5'8" range and 235-240ish or heavier. If that's the case, it's a lot of weight (of the non-muscle kind) on a body and I guess walking 3 blocks with those stats might be hard work for him.

If he'd even ride a stationary bike while having his laptop or something, he could exercise and still bitch online.

Yeah, that's pretty much my impression of his dad. Kind of a chillin' guy, just coming along for the ride to see the sights. I didn't talk with him for more than a basic introduction, though. He didn't really say too much, but Jason wouldn't stop yapping whenever he saw me.

According to his dA questionnaire he's 5'5". I'm pretty bad at guessing weights, but here's a picture that shows his bodytype without a super bulky costume:

He looked tubbier at Aki-Con, and he says in the comments that he's on some sort of weight loss pills. Guess the whole exercising thing was too much effort.

And yet he keeps buying/recommending Arda like they're God's asshairs.

Not to mention anything of his craftsmanship.

Oh god, my sides! As if his profile wasn't hilarious enough, reading his "what I'm looking for" stuff was over the edge.

>Their body type: athletic, slim, average, supermodel, fit, skinny, slender
>Do they drink: no

But the only way he'd land someone who's attractive and not a hamplanet is if they were drunk.

One of these things is not like the others... I don't think this fat slob would know what fine dining was if it bit him on the ass. It's not getting an extra slice of cheese on your burger at the drivethrough.
