She never says she has the best costumes. Actually she openly states her tradition is lots of cleavage + scantily clad, and mediocre work.

She never pretends to be something she is not. She just does it for fun - and fun she does have. She looks like she has a blast out there. I really don't see what the big deal is. Cosplay is supposed to be about fun. If you take it too seriously, you should remember you are dressing up as fictional Japanese characters, and you might as well never leave your parents' basement.

I think because of Jessica we will see a deterioration in cosplay. In the end it isn't Jessica Fault, she is just pandering to her fans and it works, the problem is the people who assume popularity = the queen of cosplay. But their nothing who says thats wrong.
The biggest problem is the fans/cons that who are inviting her as a COSPLAY Guest. If you look at the cosplay guests that go internationally, they would never get away with wearing a Rainbow Dash hoodie and Ramona flowers outfit to conventions. But lets be honest the cons aren't so much inviting her for her costumes they are inviting her for her personality and popularity.

Older cosplayers will keep doing high quality stuff, or revert to the skimpy stuff.. and eventually quit.
The Newer cosplayers who are doing it more for attention will see that wearing less gives them more attention, so why bother investing more time into a complex costume that will cover them up.

Characters who wear less will get cosplay more and we will see characters who wear more cosplay less, regardless of how cool the character is.

This trend is what disappoints me.

Not bad, although the swimsuit would be much better suited for an Articuno hoodie. That said while the swim suit looks good I wouldn't buy the hoodie for anything, it looks poorly constructed. It'll definitely sell well to all the weebs and gamr grls who have never touched a sewing machine in their lives.

The thing about this theory is that it is VERY unlikely. Especially since so many photos show her with pretty long roots... we can assume that when she bleaches her hair she waits a "safe" amount of time inbetween dyes....
Bleaching could cause hair to break, and fall out, but this sort of uniform baldness is honestly - most likely- just early hair recession. It happens. It's not great, but the rest of her hair is in healthy ENOUGH condition. It's just very unlikely to be caused by bleach.

Hair loss from bleach will be patchy- her hair would not be as long as it is, because hair loss due to end damage starts at *gasp* the end. The idea of bleach somehow over processing in a natural looking hairline, damaging the root and follicle of that area, but leaving the rest relatively unharmed is just crazy.
It could be genetics- it could be a scalp inection- even a bad reaction to medicine... it is obvious that with the hair pattern she is losing that hair from the root, which means that most likely the hair is being affected by something inside her body, such as genetics or chemicals.

Actually, yeah. Context is vital. If someone is in 'cosplay' then they better damn well be making an effort to look like the character they're allegedly portraying. That usually does not include being half-naked and pushing your tits up to high heaven. But if your goal is just to look hot? Fine, go for it.

Its also about audience. If Yaya is attempting to reach a certain audience/popularity (as people seem to be claiming) shes not going to with the costumes shes wearing. Lets look at some of her last couple of costumes: Lineage, Grand Espada, Who Frame Roger Rabbit.
Right away we can see that shes kinda really out of touch with whats popular and if you are someone who is trying to stay current and get attention that is kinda important. And I am not just talking about wearing costumes from the current bandwagon. Shes cosplaying from series that are kinda ancient and not relevant to most people. It really dates her IMO and some people seem to have a big fear of whats old so its not helping her. But lets go even further.
Lineage was something only asians really still care about (if at all) and the ones that do or did want cute, innocent looking females. Why else is everything so pretty in game? They dont want huge titties they want small ones with fresh faces.
Grand Espada is the same plus only really chicks care about the one element in that game that makes it popular and thats costume design.
Finally, Roger Rabbit. This plays again into the fearing things that are old topic which I mentioned before. Jnigs audience that is willing to spend money on her posters art are probably what 16-35? And yes the movies is popular and hits a certain nostalgia feeling for some but I doubt most of Jnigs like audience (who I am assume would be her target audience) would have much boner enduing feelings for Jessica Rabbit. I am just going to throw out a random year and say that most people born after 1990 probably dont give a shit.
