are there any x-tan cosplayers here in cgl?
I yearn for the love of this fair maiden, with beauty incomparable!
dill?
bombcat cosplayed x-tan a long time ago. ♥
I'm going as /x/-tan for Halloween this year. My lanky guy friend will be going as Slenderman. Pretty stoked.
>>6159218>>6159218wow! ♥
>>6159218no you're a chink you can't do it
Moar /x/-tan cosplays.
Thank you!
>>6159381I love you.
Wish a girl would cosplay as /x/-tan for me.
>>6159670hnnnng
yeah, I know, shitty quality, eat my shorts Skinner
There need to be more board-tan cosplayers who actually get it right. Most /x/-tan cosplayers are pretty good about it, though.I remember seeing a picture of a girl trying to be /k/It was not good.
>>6159758/k/-tan? Sounds intriguing.
>>6159758Like this?
>>6159777HA!that's /a/ alright
>>6159768Not like being /k/ is that hard, even->do you have facial hair>do you have a helmet>do you have a mosin>do you have an olive drab/camo jacketBoom, /k/ closet cosplay.
is there a reference for all the other boards?
>>6159855There's one for I think every board except /b/Though I guess it could be argued EFG is /b/-tanMeanwhile, I am now making an actual /k/-tan costume. What am I doing with my life?
>>6159857Great things.
I've always wanted to cosplay /co/nrad. But alas, finding a fitted trenchcoat and authentic fedora would be a little pricey. Not to mention I'd probably look like a tryhard faggot.
For some strange reason my phone decided to take the pictures and then not save them to the card. WELP TIME TO PUT IT ALL BACK ON.Anyone else around up for some midnight madness, some board-tan closet cosplay?
>>6159974I would if I could. But by all means, go right ahead.
Do I even need the caption for this
> Cosplay as /fit/> Don't liftWho the fuck does this?
>>6160068I knew a guy who cosplayed /o/ and didn't have a driver's licenseAnd a girl that cosplayed /a/ and didn't have a penis
I've been trying to find a picture of all the different boards for a while-- does anyone have one?
>>6160079http://shimmie.4chanhouse.org/index.php?q=/post/listLook no more.
>>6160085And much thanks to you! Very helpful!
Nobody else in for board-tan closet cosplay?I might just make another thread when it isn't 1AM-4AM-whatever time it is in YUROP or those other countries
I hate /x/, but I can't help but think of all the wonderful times we had together back on /tg/. Oh /x/-tan, you are so lovely.
One day I'd love to organize an actual board-tan house. Surely there'd be one person per board willing to live with a buncha' strangers for a while.Totally not just an excuse to get in /x/-tan's pants.*Cough*
>>6159816/a/ should be much older imho, most of it's userbase is 25+.
>>6160260^ThisThe ages otherwise work well. I know /vg/'s average is 19 and /v/'s is 22.
>>6160260>>6160264But /a/ wants to be the little girl, and is in fact a trap. Looking 20+ is far too old.
>>6160278You've obviously never been to /a/. That little girl thing is a "joke" used by a minority. When offered to become a little girl or get a girlfriend or go to the 2D world of your waifu and get a chance to be with her, most pick the last two options. Yes, even 3DPD mutts are more numerous than little girls. You should not take the opinion of the one person who did all the board-tans out of their imagination as the truth.
>>6160291The board-tans do a good job of depicting the board userbase in a comical manner, even if sometimes they're not accurate.>/k/-tan implies /k/ owns guns
Oh how I love /x/-tan. And oh how I miss the good ol' days when /x/ was really interesting and not full of Tripfags and /b/tards.
I have some references here. Allot of the board-tans are slightly different depending on who's drawing them.http://shimmie.4chanhouse.org/
>>6160514this. I remember some really amazing threads about insane asylums and stories from family members who worked at them describing all the crazy/terrifying shit that the patients would do. Now it's just religious debates and fucking conspiracy threads everywhere
>>6160525wouldn't /ic/ be /v/?
>>6160583The funny thing is that nearly all the people I know from /ic/ actually look like that.
>>6160583Contrary to popular belief, /ic/ is actually the angriest board of all 4chan. And I have only seen one (shit) cosplay of him.
>>6160607I find this funny because the people I know from /ic/ are really nice......until they talk about artwork, and then their hate levels go past /v/, /k/, and even /fit/
>>6160552It's so annoying. There's so many threads that are "I am a derpederpedo, ask me anything", troll threads or just about the same fucking conspiracy on every weird site ever. When I started posting, people were going out of their way to generate content, be it drawings, urban expeditions, something they researched or just in-depth and serious discussions without having to worry about someone coming in to spam. Every now and then I'll think about the old days and go back for more, only to be reminded of what a shitfest that board has become. And I would LOVE to be a janitor for it. I apply every time and never get the spot.
>>6160618/x/ has actually been a bit more interesting lately. I stopped going for a few months because it was basically 15 pages of one conspiracy after another. Now you can easily go on /x/ for at least 2 days without seeing that crap anywhere.Still, too much crappy-pasta these days. I miss new actual creepy content.
>>6160615Allot of people on /ic/ aren't particulalry good either. I made a thread in the past saying "Hey, I got some ink pens and I'm looking for tips on how to ink this old picture I have here. I know it's disproportionate, but I just want to figure out a cool way to ink it", and naturally some dick tried to red-line it anyway....only for half the board descend on him, tell him he doesn't know shit about anatomy, and red-line his red-line.And I didn't learn shit about inking. The correct way to browse that board is to lurk for resources and post other good resources or references yourself. And to not take art seriously of course.
>>6160618Being a janitor for /k/ might be nice.Or better yet, replacing the moderator. Our mod is so awful. >bans someone for making a thread about suppressors>"Silencers are illegal in the U.S., whose laws govern 4chan, dipshit">Suppressors aren't actually illegal here>well I live in CA so they're illegal HERE>but for states that aren't dumb they're fine
>>6160618I want to start an UE thread sometime soon, but I don't know. I just wish that the old /x/ would come back, that way I'd feel more secure about posting in-topic content.
>>6160695and I bet you the first reply will be something about you being a disinfo agent, like in every thread so far.btw, more tan's please!
>>6160695Best thing to do is to go out, take a set of photos, come home, edit them and delete the shitty ones, then do a dump. If you know some camera rules and composition tricks you'll be better off.
>>6159381Is that you?
>>6160734Yeah, it's like that line is the new "how do I summon succubus?">>6160819I know that much, haha. Why would I want to start a UE thread, where one posts pictures, if I didn't know anything about it?
>>6160853There isn't much to know about Urban Exploration. People like to complicate it (especially people on /x/ who have never done it) but it's REALLY simple: find an abandoned building with nobody in it and go take some pictures while you explore. People always ask "What should I bring with me?" and /x/ will over complicate it by saying shit like "Rope for climbing, hi-sugar snacks and water for exhaustion, air-filter masks for asbestos, and a silenced pistol for homeless junkies". ALL YOU NEED IS A CAMERA. Everything else is optional and only matters depending on how extreme you want to take it.
>>6160879/cgl/ - Urban ExplorationTake a canteen of water, and maybe some paracord. I'm on the fence about cameras- on one hand, pictures are nice, but they're also evidence.
>>6160879B... but I said I know what I'm talking about.
>>6160890evidence of...?
>>6160912that skellingtons dont real
>>6160912That you were there. Urban Exploration and trespassing usually go hand in hand.>>6160930dohoho
>>6160932Pretty much, but there's a lot of ways to not let out where exactly you're taking the pictures. Also, I think it's better to not say where, since it just gives it a bit more eerie-ness to keep it a secret. Helps with the vibe of the thread and whatnot.
bump
I plan on cosplaying /x/-tan soon, anyone have ideas on what to do for footwear when I wear it at a con? I've cosplayed one other barefoot character before and just wore plain sandals, but it didn't look right.
>>6161971another /x/-tan cosplayer here, I just use these maryjane-style black flats I have. I think if you use simple black shoes that don't distract too much from the rest of your costume you'll be fine. Or you could go with house slippers, which was what a friend recommended to me.
>>6161971Are shoes necessary? I don't think I've ever seen a picture of /x/-tan wearing footwear.
>>6162351 Well, in the cons I've been to, the hotel staff gets real pissy about people going shoeless.
>>6162358Sorry to jump into this conversation, but from what I've seen volunteering wearing no shoes to a con is a big no-no. People drop shit at the con and the last thing people want is to get sued by someone for stepping on say idk a diabetes needle thing. I'm just throwing out an example. The only con I've seen as an exception to the rule has a pool right in the convention area, but venture far from it and its frowned upon.Taking shoes OFF for a photo is pretty ok I've seen.
>>6162439
>>6161971>>6162351i think x-tan would own a pair of giant, muddy, old rain boots that she *waterproofed* with a million hexes to ward off goblins, vampires and other things from tracking her soul energy. shouldn't matter the color as long as they're dark, plain, and super dirty-looking.
>>6162441>cheapo airshit>no trigger disciplineTHAT WOULD BE THE ONE I SPOKE OF.
Am I the only one who utterly hates some of these board-tan designs?I mean, some of them are fun and classy, like /co/... but some of them, like /a/, are just... sad. You'd think that /a/ would get a little more love than that?Same for /diy/, /k/, /sp/...They're boring and lack visual character. They have such uninspired designs from a character design standpoint...
>>6159753
>>6162908I think that the simpliciy is nice, for a few. Some of the board-tans need absolutely nothing else, like /ic/
>>6163142Honestly, my real bother is /a/ and /diy/ since those are two of my three "home" boards, and they're both shit.I'm not against simple designs, but both of those suck terribly.
>>6163214But /a/ wants to be the little girl so their design makes sense
>>6163224Are you doing this on purpose or what?See >>6160291I'm really starting to believe that you just trolling.
>>6163224It's actually not the girly clothes.See, because these designs are less meant to be realistic and more meant to be an exaggeration of what the board is about, the /a/ design should be a GOOD trap, who only has a slightly "off" maleness.>>6163227>He thinks it's a joke!Hahaha, oh wow.As a visitor to this board, I find your perspectives on other boards strange.
>>6163244Yeah, don't try to paint me the naive retard.I would link a thread on /a/ as proof, but the archive is down.
>>6163352You mean one of those occasional threads that happen during retard season where people go "lol nah waifu is joke" and shit?Because that's a filthy lie, and those people are just idiots who don't "get" /a/.
>>6163435Have you read the post I was quoting? This one? >>6160291Little girls are 1 out of 10. I know best, because I've been doing threads asking about that for more than a year.So no, /a/ doesn't want to be a little girl and yes, /a/ is 25+.
friendly reminder that this is still happening
