I volunteered at AX last weekend, and spent most of Saturday doing badge check outside the live paneling rooms. At the busiest part of the weekend and at quite possibly the busiest place in the convention center, there was a group of teenagers, at least a dozen of them, all dressed in matching costume and traveling as a group, who apparently thought it would be HILARIOUS to run up and down the hallway yelling and generally making as much noise as possible. I had the following conversation with a fellow volunteer: Me: Man, what are those kids with the gray face paint and orange horns? They're really obnoxious. Him: They're trolls. Me: Yeah, but like, what are they cosplaying as? And that was my first introduction to Homestuck.

Does Homestuck have its own convention yet? I didn't have any issues with Homestuckers, but there were a crapton of them and it's kinda like with the pony fans where they're coming in droves to a con that's not even targeting them.

I was cosplaying Jackie Chun (admittedly i didn't look all that amazing, it was my first shot with a crepe hair/spirit gum beard and my wig got to me 1 day before the con so it was styled it in an hour -_-) and didn't actually end up with a picture of myself. Sunday I had to deliver 4 figures to my friend so I had no room for the camera again. Then on Monday I brought it but I was only there for the Touhou Panel and getting the NISA autograph, milled around for about an hour then I had to leave to go to the air port and didn't really see anything.
