megabus.co.uk. They do coaches and trains, although I think the trains are fairly limited compared to the coaches. I took a megabus from London to Sheffield and back a few weeks ago, cost me £12 in total and it was a really comfortable coach. Well worth it.

Word of warning. London Victoria coach station is the most godforsaken place on this earth. Spend as little time within its confines as you can.

My biggest objection to Victoria coach station is that it's such a trek from there to the overground and tube station. I had to stop and check a road map last time I went there to make sure that I hadn't wandered off in the wrong direction.

As someone who always loner cons it, travelling alone is 10 times easier as long as you stay focused/don't fall asleep on trains and plan your route in advance.

I unfortunately paid the steep price for the tickets. I'm not sure why they raised the price. It might be because it either costs more top use the Excel as a venue or maybe something better than most of the expo events to date is happening (but I doubt that though), but of course their is alway the most likely reason that they raised the price to make more money.
