I was born 1989 but I'm not an 80's child because I was an infant. My childhood was in the 90's and I experienced the boyband craze, the British girl invasion, etc while kids born in the 90's were still in their playpens.

That applies to every time from the 30's to now... Except, starting in the 80's, we had Disney Channel to distract us.

Seriously, I was born in 1990 and remember everything you just mentioned. And you know what? I'm not superior to my sisters born in 1995, 2000, 2004 and 2005. I had no control over when I was born, and my childhood is no better than theirs. At eleven, I played Morrowind, my sister is playing Skyrim. Does that make her inferior? Nope. Not one bit. The only people who think that the 90's were special are nostalgiafags. Every decade had good and bad things. Personally, I like 50's fashion, and 80's music. I wasn't alive when they came out? So what? They're pretty cool anyway.

Now, i think this may have just been in Britain but who remembers those plastic discs that came in Walkers crisps and they have looney tunes on them and you could stick them together? This shit was like crack to me. Pogs of course also, pog master here!
Also who remembers those fairy dolls on a platform and you pulled the string and the fairy spun round and flew into the air spinning around?
Pokemon of course, i had 100's of cards. I freaking loved Nickeloden because this came free on your TV back then and poor kids couldn't afford to watch Disney channel. Orange Soda is all i'll say about that.
I remember all the other stuff mentioned above but who here remembers those adidas trousers which had poppers going all up the side of the leg? I remember walking around with all the poppers undone and my trousers had fucking wings! I'll post a pic if no one knows what i'm going on about

Oh fuck, Skydancers! The wings were so thick and heavy, I used to get bruises all over my wrists from trying to catch them in midair. Hit the dog a few times and the poor guy became terrified whenever I played in the backyard with mine. Eventually I gave it to my older brother because he was really accurate at making it hit stuff, he would set up army men and gi joes in formation and then decimate them with a green sparkling fairy doll.

I saw this thread and remembered so many things. Did anyone watch this movie? I just looked it up again and realized how...creepy it looks. Don't know why I loved it.

I have like 500 VHS movies sitting at my grandmas right now.

i was like 10 when the gameboy color came out. waited in line overnight to get that thing the day it came out. ended up getting the crystal purple one which was the most wanted game boy colour. still have it and still play pokemon games on it.
