    A lot of people are working on them atm, there should be a nice flood of them come summer. My friends and I are doing a Bastion group, but our Kid's status is a bit wishy-washy. :/

    Kid's entering the convention centre. A lot of folks staring, confused, as though they feel they should know what he is. Kid doesn't care, he just gets in line, goes through weapons check. Puts the hammer on the table.

    Weapons check guy picks it up. Real heavy. He waves it through. A lot of folks think a papier-mâché hammer can't do any damage. They'd be wrong. Real punch comes from the real hammer underneath. When Kid holds it, doubly so.

    There was a pretty good explosion of Bastion cosplay this past weekend. Four Kids (including myself) and a Rucks at PAX East, and a sick Kid/Zulf/Zia/Rucks group at Sakuracon.

    Diff anon here. My only question is... Why the hell is it so blue? His armor is clearly metal with the occasional ambient color turning his armor a steel blue, but the blue you painted is just... Awful. Makes it look like foam. Or clay. Certainly not metal.

    Yeahhh... Wasn't happy with how that turned out. That is one of the things I plan to fix, I'm going to give it another coat or two of silver to offset how dark the blue turned out.

    I am considering cosplaying The Kid for PAX in Seattle later this year, but something about seeing other people's cosplays of him feels off-putting. No matter how good the cosplay is, it looks like a regular person wearing bits of armor over a regular shirt + pants and the sensation of transforming fully into the character isn't quite there.

    Does anyone feel similar or know how or why this is?
