Not really to ''break into japan'' or to sound creepy as fuck but i'm someone that loves to photoshop and i recently got after effects aswell.

I am constantly trying to look for good pictures to photoshop or videos on youtube to practice on but it's more difficult to find decent pictures then you might think.

For clothes look at mags like Popteen and try to emulate their coords. Same for the makeup. You can get mags from here if you aren't familiar: http://jmagazinescans.livejournal.com/ Get brands (or their taobao knockoffs) of liz lisa, tralala and ank rouge.

You can do video tuts of hair & makeup while staring sweetly into the camera. Just start simple for now. Definitely try to film while in japan too!

Hmm okay, if you're a full package it would help a lot (pretty, can sing, dance, speak japanese). Being able to do more than one of those is the difference between a career and a 3 minute news piece. You also need stamina, one girl in my group was very sick on the trip and couldn't work when there at all, leading onto my second point, shitty management, guess who had to pay the expenses ヽ(´ー｀)ノ just not worth the long run pain! Make sure if you sign it's with a fair contract.

Being able to go to Japan at least once to audition would be useful if you don't get picked up and flown for free, but that's not important at the moment I guess! We just need to figure something out apart from being kawaii, so if all you girls have another hidden talent or story behind you it'd be great!

(Net fame comes from news articles, and for them to write about you they need an angle, for example I was from the Isle of Man, so something quirky like that for them to talk about is always a bonus)

I think you should get together a 'portfolio', like a DVD and some nice HQ photos and basically send it off to as many idol companies as you can get the details of. If your Japanese is really good they're going to be a lot more interested. As far as what I need help with, I'm pretty good in the weight department. A bit of exercise would do me good, but that's mainly for health reasons.
