The shadows just disappear because due to her slight movement more light falls on her neck and colours blend together (bad camera + compression). And while you guys make fun of her for having a few skin flaws, I think it's great. It makes her more realistic, and I love that she didn't try to hide it. Frankly it endears her to me some, after all her pretending to be a perfect doll.

her contrast isn't on supremely high. If it was, she would be glowing, and you wouldn't be able to see the edges of her nose.
