It's a 3-story bar/arcade/restaurant right across the street from the convention center. Rather than quarters, you get a special game card that you can either load a certain amount of money to spend on games or you can pay for a certain amount of time where you have unlimited play.

Any of you familiar with Munchkin? It's a really fun card game that's good for conventions.

Well, it's not so much Sakura-con itself (Except for the horribly shitty time of year it's happening I guess), but moreso everything that's happening around it. For instance, my email provider suddenly deciding I'm a spammer and locking me out of my email, which I can no longer get into and has my barcode, and which also got in the way of cosplay chess... There's also costume repairs to do, as various bits of my outfit fucking decided to stop exsisting, and lastly, and most stressful, is I have my god damned Japanese final tomorrow -- A class I've been struggling to keep up with for a while.

Oh, then I still have shit for my panels to do.

Basicly, I have a weeks worth of work to do and only 2 days to do it. Just stressing out and frustrated.

If I have something fragile, it goes in the middle of clothes, and you just do your best to keep stuff from edges of your suitcase so if it gets tossed around your stuff won't get damaged. Use a large suitcase and just pack well.

In general to packing? All regular clothes and costume pieces that are not intricate or super sensitive to wrinkling are subject to being folded and then rolled up and neatly placed into the bag. I use camping methods to save space and just stash stuff that way :O I normally only need one suitcase per con (regardless of number of costumes) just because of this.

Got a few more supplies to pick up on my lunch break for my friends' mask... everything else seems to be in order, but I was on total autopilot last night when I was packing all of the costume stuff.

At one point I had two rolls of electrical tape in my hands for about 5 minutes, debating on whether or not I should bring different colours, you know, JUST IN CASE.

I hate bringing so much stuff with me, but I'm glad everytime I do. I generally have everything that's needed when something goes wrong.

You'll be fine until you hit the Chehalis area where it might get a bit harrier. Just plow through until you get to the 101N turn-off and keep all the way to the left since people in Lacey/Tumwater/Olympia always fuck up that one on-ramp to I5N. You should just miss the heavy traffic around Ft. Lewis and McChord AFB since the shift change for Madigan will have already taken place. Once you get into Seattle proper, though, honk your horn like nobody's business and act like a cuntgrump or else you'll never get anywhere.
