04/03/12(Tue)16:12 No. 5668756 You kind of ask a difficult question, OP. In
order to be cosplayer "famous" you need that across-the-board appeal
where tons of people admire/recognize you, even those who have never met
you and only know of you as, though I gag saying it, a cosplay
celebrity/public figure. And really, that doesn't happen to the ugly ones. You
might get "Oh they are really talented" or "omg she is soooo nice, such
a sweetheart" but the masses tend to ignore them because of said
ugliness. Even people who are just outright plain are unmemorable and
thus non-famous. So yeah, I could list off some unattractive
cosplayers who make good costumes and win awards, but no one's going to
know who they are because they're not famous enough. Or else claim
personal drama, or omg that's my friend shut up, argue that they don't
personally find them ugly, etc. Unless you want to claim someone
is famous for being a huge dramawhore/bitch/slut/etc. But that's a
really bad way to define famous and also totally subjective. woop.
