no real horror stories (although i'm probably my own horror story, only time will tell) but i was greeted by peacock feather the second i entered the con and overheard a hetalia fan yelling about how gross america was during the cold war. it felt like going to one of those zoos where the animals come right up to your car.

Yeah, the Japan versus US electronics (I don't know the cospalyer's names) won BIS. I want to say the Bubbly Feeling skit won 1st for Intermediate(and a judges award too), and I know the the RomeoXJuliet skit won for Novice. Best performance for Novice went to the dance face off skit with the 5 girls. Both of the Studio Ghibili skits won something, as did the Vampire night. I'm sorry I'm not more descriptive, I'm very tire at the moment and typing from my hotel room.

The FF won so many awards it started to get ridiculous imo. Felt like they should of spread the awards around a little bit more, 5 Judges award for one thing? The costumes looked lovely and it was a cute idea, but...

was the final fantasy skit the one with all the summons? my friend was in it as Bahamut. I saw him the night before and the thing was across his hotel room. In 2010 AB was during Passover weekend. Right down the street there was even a holocaust memorial thing going on, I believe. Some stupid Prussia cosplayer thought it would be a brilliant idea to sieg heil, which then made a bunch of other people do it. If you do some digging I'm sure you can find pictures. It was outside, too, near a street where tons of non congoers could clearly watch.

Most Hetalia fans now are pretty cool now that the bandwagoners have jumped to homestuck. I saw three really good cosplays this year, although I can't be assed to find them.
