I'd love to hear congoer ideas about panels. Please tell me about as many of these as you'd like!

    1. The best panel you've ever been to.
    2. The worst panel you've ever been to.
    3. The type of panel you want to see more of.
    4. The type of panel you're completely sick of.
    5. The dream panel you'd run if you had enough [time/money/resources/other].

    1. Connecticon 2011, it was basically a fun Q&A in the evening with some of the voice actors (Cristina Vee, Jon St. John [I think] and a couple others, can't quite remember if all of them were there or not.) We got on the topic of alcohol, but then we all stopped midway to watch fireworks together. Lot of fun.

    2. Toracon 2010, Vocaloid panel. I already knew most of what there is to know about it, but I was just curious as to how it would be run. This guy poorly explained what they are, 'who' the vocaloids were, and then proceeded to show off the music HE made with only one of the vocaloids. It was really bad.

    3. More casual Q&A's with voice actors in the evening when everything's calmed down, and where it's more fun stories than 'how did you feel voicing -character-'. Or just VA stories, that sort of thing.

    4. Hetalia 'conferences', Yaoi kawaii desu panels

    5. Ha, to be honest I don't really know. I'd love to put on a lovely play reenacting a vocaloid song (Alice in Musicland for example) since it'd take a long time and wouldn't be able to be done for a Masquerade.

    >1. The best panel you've ever been to.
Con Bravo 2011: Prop making with Mai Sheri and featherweight. VERY informative
    2. The worst panel you've ever been to.
Youmacon 2011: Scott Pilgrim vs. the Ren Center. One aspie wouldn't shut the fuck up, and I knew more about Scott Pilgrim than the ONE panellist
    3. The type of panel you want to see more of.
    prop making, armour
    4. The type of panel you're completely sick of.
How to get a con girlfriend/SO. Ive never been to one, but they show up on ever con schedule I ever see and I can't help but think they're running a panel based on bad advice. Besides, what ever happened to going to conventions to have fun instead of getting laid?
    5. The dream panel you'd run if you had enough [time/money/resources/other].
A proper Scott Pilgrim panel, or probably one based on drawing or creating fanart

    >1. The best panel you've ever been to.
Anime Expo 2011: Mega64, and Zelda Mythbusters (2010)
    Holy shit. They were amazing.
    >2. The worst panel you've ever been to.
Anime Expo 2011: My Life as an RPG
It was terrible. An interpretive dance that was controlled by obnoxious weaboos screaming at her to be a female elf.
    >3. The type of panel you want to see more of.
Sneak peeks or more of the mythbusters
    >4. The type of panel you're completely sick of.
I haven't been enough to think that a certain type is terrible
    >5. The dream panel you'd run if you had enough [time/money/resources/other].
Women: How to get attention without dressing like a slut

Can't say I've been to many panels, but

    2. Radcon 6, cosplay panel: The panelist literally told us not to wear wigs. All my rage. (plus she didn't iron her outfit beforehand)

    1. The best panel you've ever been to.
    Rage panels are cool.

    2. The worst panel you've ever been to.
Some terribad panel about drama in conventions where the person hosting it who was the con chair couldn't do it cause he was too busy puking in his hotel room, so we essentially did the damn panel.

    3. The type of panel you want to see more of.
    Sociological aspects of this subculture.

    4. The type of panel you're completely sick of.
I don't nearly go to enough panels to comment on this.

    5. The dream panel you'd run if you had enough [time/money/resources/other].

Struggles of the minority cosplayer, for lack of a better term. I'm actually in the middle of doing independent research on the topic.

    1. Either Metrocon 2010/2011, Mecha panel, the guys were bros, laughs were had, they actually knew their mecha, or Megacon 2012 Robot Chicken panel, the guys were nice, answered questions, weren't uppity etc.
    2. AWA 2009? I'm not sure but it was a horribly run Hetalia panel with just girls running around glomping each other and yelling
    3. More professional guests doing casual panels
    4. Cosplayers hosting panels acting like the characters they are cosplaying (I'm looking at you every under-the-age-of-20 run panel ever)
    5. I've spoken about this a few times but just never get around to actually hosting it. I might this Supercon, but, "Getting into Comics", basically a panel run by comic book fans or even high profilers for people who want to get into comics but don't know where to start. It'll be a mix of recommendations (host faves, audience faves) and answering questions (if someone wants to read Batman but doesn't know where to start, or if they're just looking for a fun action comic to read)

I would've loved a panel like this when I started getting bored with the repetitiveness of manga but didn't know where to look (luckily I had /co/ but not everyone is a channer and such)
