So
I went into the magic land of corel paint shop, and did some color
ideas for Mrs Cake(Just pretend it's awesome and matches all of her
colors). The far right is the blouse I bought, and the apron I'm going
to use for the pattern. The picture is super dark, since the shirt is
plain white with some black trim. The ruffles are bright pink.
The
center shows my idea. I'm going to make a white skirt, and dye the
shirt and skirt together to match Mrs. Cake's coat. The apron will have
the orange/yellow like her apron, with the inside being a lighter color.
I'll have her cutey mark on the apron pocket. I'll have the ruffles
around the straps match the color of the one around the pocket.
I found a pair of older style lace of heels, they look around 1940's style. I'm going to paint them to match my dress.
I wasn't going exact, but I'm trying to go with a bit of a 1950's style housewife.
Question,
should I stick with the solid for the lighter part of the apron, or
bring in a patterned fabric, kind of like the ones I have in the image?
Also, should I consider some gloves? Maybe in a pink? |
