do indeed have plans to remake the dress, however, I don't think it
looks as bad as you've made it out to be. I agree that the dress should
be a tad longer, however, I don't believe it takes away from the
character too drastically. As for the 'hot mess' at the bottom of the
dress, well, I'm sorry you think that way. I do plan to make said
patterns a little stiffer next time though, so they don't bunch up with
the underskirt like in my photo.
Also, may I note that I did this
dress the night before the convention? I didn't exactly have time to
remake the whole thing once I realized the length after the whole dress
was put together. I'm still a new seamstress and definitely can't get
those kinds of things done in lighting speed, nor am I very good with
exact measurements (I tend to forget seam allowances, derp). It took me a
while for the skirts, as sad as that is. So yes, I believe
procrastination is a pretty valid excuse for someone with little
experience.
