Yeah, that bothers me on all of her costumes. Having the skirts that low just destroys the curve of her hips. It especially shows in the picture on the left in the OP- the way the waistband cuts into her hips makes her (very slim) hipbones look like a muffin top.

Well, I probably don't speak for everyone here. The posters don't bug me, that's just feels sort of like 'artists alley' type-stuff. I don't like that they somehow become the representative face of the community. Like OP said, for whatever reason, this showed up all over the place, even though it's just mediocre costume of a game that was announced ages ago. I'd see it and go "oh cool, someone did lolipop chainsaw already and did a pretty good job," not run to news aggregators It just feels like there's a lot of people who do much better costumes who deserve the attention more. Don't bother calling me jelly: I don't cosplay, I'm just interested in it.

So what's the beef on this game? Why is it so highly anticipated? My friend cosplayed it last year at YCon and I was like okay that's cool but I haven't really heard much about it and have no idea what it's about (aside from I guess a cheerleader with a chainsaw presumably to kill stuff?). Is /cgl/ at all up in arms about this because of the game itself, or is it just because it's JNig? If it's the game itself, why? Why are people anticipating it? ETc.

I'm excited because I loved Shadows of the Damned. Not sure that its that anticipated by others. I mean you get to chainsaw people so there's the hilarious gore, chick in a skimpy outfit flashing her panties but beyond the camp factor its not that ground breaking.

As for the Jnig stuff eh. I am impressed shes making more and more of her own stuff now and how well she promoted herself but she has the same problem as Yaya Han with using the wrong heavy makeup for all her costumes. (I guess that statement makes me a jelly whore?) I would hit it.

Personally I dislike any average looking female that jumps into a culture they don't actually participate in for attention. I'm male and the chick just doesn't look appealing, even with the photoshop, and 20$ says she's played/watched maybe 1% of everything she's ever cosplayed.

Is how she somehow manages to pull of sameface on EVERY cosplay of hers, I have seen so many cosplayers who look completely different in various costumes, but she has a constant JNig look of her in every costume.
That's not to say they're bad or she's ugly, I find it really enjoyable that she is comfortable in her skin and isn't afraid to show it, and that's not a bad thing.

Lolno. Female here. I don't hate JNigz. Ok, I dislike the fact that she 'sluts up' her costumes as much as I hate the fact that Yaya has to have her tits out in EVERY costume, but as a person she's really fucking cool. She's a geek, she likes cool shit and cosplays from stuff that she watches/plays.

MY beef is with her Anya cosplay. Guuuurl, as much as I love Gears of War and people that take the time and effort to make the armour themselves when cosplaying a character from the trilogy, it wasn't that good. Props for the amount of time and effort invested into it but some of the components of it were just AWFUL. If you don't cut a straight line in the craft foam then DON'T USE THE FRIGGIN' SQUIGGLY PIECE ANYWAY, throw it away and start again. The armour looked great from a distance but when I saw the close ups it looks awful, the chest piece most of all (the rest of it wasn't THAT bad, in fact I liked her boots). The discs on the breast plates were so... wonky. Again, if you don't cut it straight then don't use it!

Maybe if people started giving her concrit instead of shouting "WHORE, SLUT, ABOMINATION, CHEESIT" etc. at her then maybe people will stop thinking that seagulls are just a bunch of jealous fatty fems.
