Shannon and I had an amazing time! It was so fun to meet some people from /cgl/ and G+ who we had talked to online but never face to face.

The only thing that sucked was that I got food poisoning yesterday morning and missed pretty much the entire con because we flew back early this morning. Even so, it was fun!
Shannon and I were disappointed by the lack of spiders though :/

Funny how the three cancers of /co/ fucking dominated this con this year. Anything that wasn't homestuck, mlp, or adventure time was generally quite good. Of those 3, mlp had the most good cosplay and homosuck unsurprisingly had the worst.

But whatever, I ain't even mad. Con was profitable, chill, and fun. Couldn't ask for more!

Drowning in ponies and homosuck, but whatevs, man. This was pretty much 'errything last minute con, and I think I got my picture taken a total of nine times, and I don't even curr. Thursday night: lol oops, Goldschlager was a bad idea..
Friday: Better, spent most of the day relaxing. /cgl/ gathering was fun!! Met some people, sang some songs, got lifted up on a lawn chair. Partied until 5am.
Saturday: Chilled, con up until this point was alright, got dressed and made a decision in my mind to really have a good time. Started off kind of meh but progressively got better as the night went on. Saturday made the entire con.

Now I'm in a room drinking alcoholic milkshakes. I love this con.

I was only there last night but the con was a blast! It was great to see some people I already knew buy didn't know were going and so many new faces! Everyone I met was cool beyond words. I think my boyfriend took a few pictures of cosplayers so as soon as he's uploaded those I'll post them here.

Con was absolutely wonderful. I prefer small cons to big ones and had a great time talking to random cosplayers and /cgl/ers. It was so nice meeting everyone, ahhhh. I was very surprised with how many well done cosplayers that were
there too. I didn't take too many pictures but I'll dump the few from my phone now and the rest from my camera tomorrow.

Well I might as well make this post. A general ALA feelings post!

It was a pleasure seeing you all and meeting some of you anons and other trips! You're all fun to hang with, and it was quite fun seeing you all at the CGL gathering!

There's so much about this con that I enjoyed that I can't complain, and MAAAAN Taco Party was crazy. I want to thank anyone and everyone who sees this for the amount of patience you all had waiting for those tacos. It was a long and hectic night not only for myself and you all, but for the folks driving and acquiring tacos as well.

I had a similar experience. This year I had more friends who've been going to cons longer than I have, and they introduced me to new people which helped with the shyness. Like on Saturday night I was somehow stuck standing around awkwardly while my friends were chatting with their other friends, then this guy cosplaying Thundercats introduced himself to me and I didn't feel so bad anymore :D

I had an absolutely fabulous time.

I got to hang out with a friend I hadn't seen in a while, made new friends and people seemed to like the cake, cookies, fudge and brownies I made which made me the happiest. I was afraid they were going to be too bland and tasteless but I'm glad the cake and cookies went quickly.

Sad thing though was my laptop hard drive crashed at the hotel so I lost all the pictures I took along with everything else on there.

Oh man this ALA was unbridled amounts of fun. Telling jokes at Clash of the Comics, Getting awesome pictures of my costumes (props to Misty), helping organize the SMT gatherings along with making a Steins;Gate group on the spot. Only sad part was missing the /cgl/ Gathering.

Oh well, looks like I got something to look forward to next year.

It was okay. Good I guess, for an ALA. Was sad not to have a balcony/deck-level room though. Handful of events, pitiful dealer's room, limited places to eat, masq with exactly 2 skits worth watching - par for course for ALA.

Definitely a "people make the con" con... then they shut down nearly all the room parties. So, yep, it was pretty good for ALA and decent enough in the scope of all cons.

Anybody see that spic gangbanger hustling people for money in Friday? The guy was big and chock full of tattoos. I saw him hovering around the hotel entrance when me and my friends went out to Carl's Jr. When we got there I was spooked to see him right behind us, he wasted no time asking everybody for spare cash. Fortunately for everyone, some guy was sucking up to him an bought him a full blown meal, only to not get thanked.
