Bleh. All the guilds I thought about getting into were far more active than I could be at the time, so I ended up trying to solo everything with henchmen. Slow and painful going was slow and painful, to the point where I quit because it was dragging on for too long, haha.

I've been playing for around 5 years now and all my friends have left, all the Vanilla people are long gone, everywhere it's epics, epics, epics.

OMG RO I still play that actually! Though my last server died and all my guild friends stopped playing I've been weeping for all those amazing hours we spent grinding and adventuring together. I'm really sad about how the RO scene is slowly dying, it's mostly shitty trolls and pinoys now.

By shitty trolls I mean those 16-year olds who think they're cool as shit when they have the best gear in the game and sprout overused /b/ memes everywhere, then turn into whiny bitches when something gets nerfed or they're caught cheating.

But still, god I miss our guild and all the fun times we had. I miss that feeling when after long hours of farming I finally got elven ears. I miss that feeling when I logged in to see my vender's shop empty. I miss that feeling when we MVP'd together and screamed orders via skype. I miss kicking noobs' asses in PVP. I have friends I still talk to from iRO though, so I'm obviously going to be biased toward it, but I was playing on TalonRO (it's probably still #1 for lowrates on RMS.net, it's easy to find) for a little while when I was bored of iRO. It's a low rate private server that averages around 700-1200 people depending on the time/day of the week... but the people are sort of split between being very helpful and using the main chat as a tween's chatroom. I'm also not really kidding about the Gaiafag comment from earlier either, some people were actually discussing that shit in main. If you can stand to ignore some people, you like Gaia yourself, or have enough people interested in a server that the rest of the community doesn't matter, it's worth a shot.

It's mostly a writing roleplaying server. We have "outfits" so you can dress your character however you like, and fake hats so you can get whatever hat you want without breaking the gameplay. Lots of customization sprite wise, as well as map wise in order to get the towns more in-character.

It's more like we use the game as a client for writing and a setting.

Ragray, there are links in the download section of the forum since the ragray website is down. In order to find the downloads section, you have to post an introduction topic (Its mostly to keep out BRs/Pinoys that can't read and realize that its a roleplaying server...we had so many problems with BRs...this fixed it.)

The only game I played long enough to care was WoW. I think it's just the catering to the noobs that killed it. I would mostly just arena and do raids for good items that I would use for PvP. I quit when they murdered warriors at the end of WotLK. I played a warrior in arena since BC, and I didn't want to play any other class. I came back with a Mage in Cataclysm for the raids, and it was a bit fun.

The mechanics for the game have only improved. What is killing it is the catering to the newbs and casual players. And this upcoming expansion has catering to newbs on every level written on it. Even on the content... HURRR HERE ARE SOME CUTE PANDAS, AND A RIP OFF POKEMON SYSTEM!!!
