It must really suck being a cosplayer. I mean, I used to be spiteful, but then I tried looking at it objectively and you guys actually have it hard.

    >Guys don't like you for your personality, they just want to fuck you while you're dressed up as their favorite character/fetish
    >Therefore, complements can be boiled down to envy or flattery
    >DRAMA, whether you like it (most of you) or don't (a few of you). Someone will bitch about your costume or lack thereof, try to show you up, etc.
    >When your families see pictures of your scanty costumes they think you're being a slut

I don't really hate all cosplayers. Just most. This is mainly because of my exposure to the ones who whore themselves out for money at cons, then use it to buy name-brand goth loli clothing, then brag about it online. Yes, they exist. Then again, the others really aren't much better anyway.

It seems that as soon as I found out a girl cosplays she makes this defensive face and suddenly has the worst personality ever, and starts whining about something like a child. Really, why? Normalfags assume anime is a "kiddie thing" to begin with, and when cosplayers throw fits like children it really doesn't help the assumption.

Really, you guys are insufferable sluts.

    TL;DR - "WHY WON'T ANYONE LOVE ME?"

If you were doing it for the right reasons, what people think shouldn't matter to you in the slightest.

3/10 btw. I'm drunk and you got me to respond.

Bitter virgins from /jp/ again, oh boy.

Someone post over there and tell them to fuck off already.

Jealous of us actually doing something with our lives? Yeah, I thought so.

Let's just turn this into a womanly problems thread. Would that be enough to scare the/jp/ away?

Personally, I'm just bloated as fuck because of my period. And apparently I'm shedding more of uterus this month or something.

Seriously guys. There is a board for these types of threads and it's called /r9k/. You got your board back. Please use it.
    >> Anonymous 12/16/11(Fri)01:40 No.5251545
Sounds like someone learned about cosplay by glancing through drama threads! Shit, that's like berating Latinos as a culture because you watched half an episode of "gangland". If you actually got up and went to a con, you'd notice all kinds of people walking around being affable and agreeable. Well, that and some massive weaboos, but there are threads for that.

My point is that /cgl/ is in no way representative of the general cosplaying populace. Bear in mind that we're still on 4chan, a domain inherently given to playing host for bitches of incredible caliber. Being on a different board doesn't change that, it just chooses the subject for the bitches to bitch about.

I do agree about the cosplayers reacting like children when someone discovers their more exotic habits. They're not helping themselves when they do it, and they're certainly making those of us who don't throw bitch fits seem that much crazier.

I wish I could get laid that easily at cons
There's a lot of cute girls I want to do in their costumes
    >> Anonymous 12/16/11(Fri)03:06 No.5251794
Cosplayers are shitty people because their hobby is based around attention seeking. There is no such thing as an attention whore that doesn't have a massive ego and a terrible personality.

Cosplaying is by far one of the most vain and self-absorbed hobbies that you could possibly have. Modeling is really the only comparable thing, but at least they're getting paid.

our hobby is also based around sewing, crafting and making things, but I guess idiotic trolls can't think that far.

to people who have a strong emotional connection to fictional characters, cosplayers help bring make that character real.
    >> Anonymous 12/16/11(Fri)07:03 No.5252191
You're bitching about like five things at once, do you even know what you're buttmad about?

By the way, the most revealing cosplay I've ever worn is something I could show pictures of to my grandmother and not be embarrassed. And I've never in my life slept with someone I met at a con. And I've never started drama or participated, only had to hear others go on about drama as I roll my eyes.

And I'm not rare or unusual in any of these aspects.

    >/cgl/ is in no way representative of the general cosplaying populace.

This is very true and it is a deeply comforting fact. When I read shit threads on /cgl/, I have to remind myself every once in a while, 4chan is the toilet of the internet. The opinions expressed here are the lowest of the low, most retarded, brainless word vomit that can be produced by human beings, and most people in real life are NOT this horrible. If that weren't the case, I might not go on living.

That only goes for revealing costumes. And wearing that kind of outfit in public tells A LOT about the person (slut).

And you can't really tell what kind of person one is if you haven't talked to them private.

"oh that girl in that very tight Asuka plugsuit really must have good personality, I must go to talk to her" Also I thought guys don't really hit on girls at con a lot, because they are insecure nerds after all (that goes for me also).
