As for Yuki binding, it depends on the chest size, you'll only be able to get them as flat as you can with a typical side-binding method...

I want to ask for help too! So I've been closely analyzing Takechiyo lately, and I've pretty much figured out how I'll do everything... except the chain mail. His chain mail cuts off at the middle of his chest to show off his stomach.

there's also the flesh bodysuit method (most Japanese cosplayers use photoshop to blend it later in photos), so you could use a binder underneath that, too. It's hard to make it look natural, but might be the best method for girls with larger busts wanting to do Yukimura's default outfit.

ah, I've been trying to figure out chainmail, too. The alternatives to ACTUAL chainmail(heavy, expensive, hard to find, etc.) I've seen have been:
a) spraypainting a wool sweater or
b) getting a fabric that kinda create the impression of chain (which I've seen on Japanese cosplayers like the related pic but haven't had much luck finding for myself)

Man... hopefully this magic chain mail fabric comes around for us someday soon... But thinking about it, for my chain mail all I need to show off are the sleeves in retrospect. For binding, the cheapest and easiest way would be open shirt binding with sports tape. Thing is, you're really not going to be able to successfully make a fat deposit look like a muscle without either good shooping or some kind of prosthetic, especially if you have a large chest.

I was just working on SB2 Alt Masamune today. I got the coat done today and now i'm plotting all these weird yellow accents. and then I have to figure out the armor underneath....

DAT SORIN. My friend says she wants to try Sorin next, since she thinks she has the face for it. She's crazy good at the silly poses and mimicking him so I was all for it. I want to make her a little Zavi stand out of a foot stool or something so she has something to "preach" from, hah hah.

ugh fuck those yellow parts aldsfsdfk I had to borrow my friend's SB2Heroes, squint at my tv, and handsketch all the references forever, etc. for that coat!! I used vinyl and craft foam for all the armor. I plan to remake my leg pieces since they're too large and someday I'd like to make a better-fitted torso piece.

As for the swords... well, I've got six of 'em but the sheathes are the scary part, and in-progress. My prop-savvy friends are gonna be in charge of that, but holding them up to my costume? I've been imagining up ways that include straps as well as heavy duty velcro... uhh, I'll get back to you on that one, lmao

Thanks! I just bought a compression shirt so I may try the bodysuit then see where it takes me. I'm a 38C and whenever I try pulling the girls to the side I have that weird stretch mark shadow or whatever from where my underwire has sat for years, looks fuckin strange. Do you think it's possible for someone my size to achieve at least some sort of believable look with open shirt binding?

On the subject of Sorin and Xavii... Does anyone know where to even start with Muneshige's helmet? I've never made headgear before, so like what sort of material would be good? PVC, or maybe something more lightweight?

A helmet? Well, in my time alive I like Wonderflex. It can be melded into any shape you please, is durable as fuck, and is rather lightweight and thin. You'd probably need to make it thicker by either putting more wonderflex, or putting a layer of something less expensive between two layers of the stuff. At least, that how I plan to make most of Tadakatsu, and a set of armor I have to do for something else.

Now I'm lucky to have small tits, so open shirt binding works well. Thanks to that weird...chestplate/man bra thing, it hides the sports tape pretty well.

I enjoy Hisahide and Sorin quite a bit out of the new characters, but I can never go wrong with Kojuro and Sasuke. Hisahide is especially fun because getting kills with him is just so satisfying.
