Not having anything to do with internet drama before hand, but at a con I was outside smoking and a guy who wasn't a part of the convention was talking to me. He was trashed and talking about how he was in the military.
A guy walked out from the rave for a smoke and the military man called him a faggot and then JUMPED HIM. Right in front of me (He had seemed like a nice guy before that)
Rave kid threw the guy off of him and onto me, crushing my bad knee... I ran in and got security. I was incredibly shaken.

At another local con a guy got into a fight with another guy and got his arm broken.

You're far more likely to get your shit jumped by some mundane than some nerd, especially if you're dolled up in a bunch of frilly skirts and colorful wigs and whatnot and ESPECIALLY if you're a guy.

Well, when my husband was working security at a con he broke somebody's wrist. It was JACON, I think? Maybe AFO, but probably JACON. Some drunk guy was sexually harassing a chick and calling her brother who was with her a faggot. He started trying to get physical with the chick, got his wrist broken for his trouble. I think he unsuccessfully tried to throw a couple punches. It's been awhile, so that's all I can really remember.

Usually I'm the one who starts fights because I become a dumbass after a few drinks. Grabbing the person you're fighting and kissing them is a great way to stop that shit, though. I think all but one of my many fights has ended with angry sex.

No, I'm a chick. The fight wasn't one sided. We both fucked each other up pretty bad. She was definatley more brutal though. Most of her injuries came from fallling on the pavement when she tried to hold my body down. I pulled a greased up deaf guy during the whole fight.
