    So I've been into lolita for about a year yadiyada I usually wear it out by myself and I haven't really gotten the guts to go to an actual meet-up because I'm super shy and I'm just worried it'll be awkward. I decided that this Saturday I will go to one that is planned and see if I like it or not.

    So I have come to you guys with some questions.

    >What should I expect? I mean like, people wise. What do you guys even talk about (besides the obvious, eg clothes)?
    >I feel like a bitch for saying this, but I was looking at some photos from past meet ups and it seems like there are a lot of itas who don't know how to wear clothes, and then there are a lot of well, older people there. I'm a freshman in highschool right now (yeah I'm aware that 4chan is an 18+ board, what are you going to do about it?) and while some of the girls looked like they were teenagers there were a lot that were def over 30. I just think it'd be awkward to be hanging around a bunch of 20+ girls when I'm not even 15.

    Also I am terrified that I am going to get killed or something because I am basically going to a tea party with a bunch of strangers that I semi-met online. Probably an irrational fear but it seems weird to me.

    Uh alot of lolitas go to pubs for meetups, I really wouldn't suggest going to a meetup. You're only going to feel left out, especially because you're so young. I'd wait until you were atleast 16 so you could drive and all of that :)

    If you're as rude and entitled and all "Duh" at them in real life they are not going to respect you at all, so don't be that way.

    I went to my first ever meetup last week, (first meetup for all the girls in my area) and there were about 13 girls. All different styles and only about three of them really wore brand. The girls in my comm range from 18 to 25

    Since it was everyone there's first meetup (at least for this area) it was pretty relaxed and easy to make small talk that lead to better conversation later in the evening.
