I do understand the most of /cgl/ are girls.

So let me ask this question.
Why is it that most grils wear jeans? Isn't the best thing about being a women that you can wear all the pretty clothes that you want to?

Yet the majority of them wear plain jeans. Please tell me why.

In my case? Because they're comfortable and I'm usually elbow-deep in some sort of messy art project when I'm not stuck in my work uniform.

I like to dress up when I go out and have fun with friends, but a lot of the time jeans are just more comfortable.

Jeans are comfortable, uncomplicated, go with everything, and make your ass look fabulous. Why do girls ever NOT wear jeans?

Lol I own like 2 pairs of jeans.

I wear tights + dress for cold weather and layer with socks for chilly days, around here (Socal) it doesn't get very cold so I can get away with it. Sometimes tights + shorts too. But I always wear a thick wool coat so I stay pretty warm.

Because due to my college major I am often around paint, wood, plaster, or a host of other messy art pieces, and my ass looks fab. Also because I go to school in upstate NY and LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT WIND CHILL.

Also who the hell says jeans, are lazy? Skinny jeans, heels, and a nice top and you look damn sexy.

    1. They're comfortable.
    2. I have a nice butt to showcase since I'm a runner.
    3. Jeans can be dressed up or down.
    4. I have very pale legs and sometimes it doesn't make me happy to show them off, depending on my aesthetic at the time.

Why do guys sag their jeans

Why do they wear shitty T-shirts, why don't they wear button ups more often

Why do most of them insist on wearing vans slip ons past college

Isnt the best thing about being a man that you can wear spiffy clothes and get laid in like .3 seconds? Yet the majority of them wear baggy pants, a graphic T, and the same tired ass hoodie almost every day during the winter time without a hint of it being washed within the last week or so.

    Please tell me why.

Touché. It appears that I've single handedly been slain by what appears to be a man with great tastes. As my dress flutters in the winter wind I ask you just one more thing.

    What about the hoodie.

Also, vest things look nice too its a shame more guys don't wear those. Stay away from Fedora hats though. Nothing says 'I'm incredibly doofy' more than a Fedora hat. Hats in general are ridiculous. Oh look at me, carrying on like a school girl in love.

Skirts are so damn drafty and I have little confidence about showing my legs. I have one pair of shorts that I have worn outdoors that go above my knees, and they are restricted to summer and slumber use only.
    >> Anonymous 12/08/11(Thu)00:59 No.5222501
They are comfortable. They go with anything--nasty t-shirt or nice blouse or dressy top or sporty tank. You can wear sneakers, heels, boots, flats or sandals with them.

They're warmer than dresses and skirts in the winter and fall. It's also good on days I'm too busy/lazy to shave my legs.

And pockets! God, I love pockets. Most girl slacks and dresses do not have pockets. I also carry a purse, but sometimes it's good just to be able to put your hands somewhere when you're feeling awkward.

Jeans are useful and versatile, that's why girls wear them. :)

As a boy, I think skirts are more comfortable than jeans. In fact, I think jeans are the least comfortable leg attire available. Even my dress pants are better. Jeans are worn only when work/weather absolutely dictates it.
I wish I could wear skirts outside my bedroom.

The number #1 reason is that I'm always freezing cold and jeans are fairly warm. And I can wear long underwear underneath them with knee-high socks for extra warmth.

The #2 reason is the shoe problem--I'd actually like to wear more skirts but my sneakers all look really stupid and kind of have that "Eighteen Kids and Counting Religious Nutso" vibe. I always end up wearing heels or ballet flats with skirts and it's just not as protective or comfortable as my sneakers.

I'm actually much more likely to wear skirts in deep winter, with cable-knit tights and cute snow boots.
    >> Anonymous 12/08/11(Thu)01:36 No.5222625

Why is it that most guys wear jeans? Isn't the best thing about being a man that you can wear all the suits and ties that you want to? It's the same deal.

Also for me, personally, I only look good in flares and I can't wear big clunky boots all year nor can I wear fuzzy legwarmers anywhere else.
    >> Anonymous 12/08/11(Thu)12:26 No.5223692
Tights/leggings all day erryday. Flip flops and flats.

I used to rock jeans because they were easy and comfy, but ever since leggings came back, I abandoned them.

Skirts are annoying. You have to watch the way you sit, you can't just sprawl out on the floor, constantly have to monitor your hemline, keep your legs crossed, etc. You can put up with any uncomfortable or irritating garment once in a while, but for everyday use and ease of comfort, it's all about casual shit.
    >> Anonymous 12/09/11(Fri)00:08 No.5225840
Cause when you wear skirts, winds are out to get between your legs/crotch.
Yeah, even as a tomboy, I admit skirts are cute. Unfortunately, skirts/anything girly does not exist in my closet. I like jeans cause they make your ass look fineeee regardless of your size if you wear em correctly. So everyday I'm like PUT ON MY JEANS AND BOOTIES ALL THE WAYYY
    >> Anonymous 12/09/11(Fri)00:13 No.5225856
Jeans are just a simple toss in the wash.
Pretty things require more prep time and care. I prefer to save my cute pretty little outfits for special occasions such as dates and parties. I consider it a treat for others to see me in a dress.
    Also, its fucking winter.

But what I dont get are women who are all dolled up in track suits when theyre not going to go work out.
