So I can't keep my mouth shut anymore...
I personally cannot Cosplay anything 'normal' being permanently injured, but I have always wanted to create costumes for other people.

Now the guys in Oregon that I have run into, ARE NOT interested so I gave up on them.

The girls however are into it, but 9/10 want to dress up as boys, OBESE portrayals of their favorite anorexic icon, or just don't get what the original content of the cosplay they are portraying meant at all.

I like the creative cosplay like the pic I am posting, but the peopel who attend the cons in our area are just a bunch of sex offender/creepy/grab-ass jerks who think it's fun to feel up young cosplayers who show up half naked.

I personally find this offensive and have jumped in the face of an asshole or 3 to tell them what they are doing is fucked up, not to mention, illegal. These cosplayers are between 13-17 and sometimes don't realize they will attract scumbags dressed like this.

I am looking for adults or older teen models to dress in elaborate costumes to go to cons since in my own biased opinion, most of the cosplayers around here SUCK or are so damned ugly, you want to wretch seeing a 400 pound catgirl with 1 good tooth.

As a cosplayer/photographer from Oregon, I feel you, and know who you mean by the girl with 1 tooth, but not all (or even most) Oregonian cosplayers are like that. You just want to get off of the Kumoricon forums. Most of the people on there are those that you're describing. Outside of that, cosplayers are really detached from the cosplay scene until con season, and/or they make everything themselves or have friends who do.
If you want to commission, there's no market here for anything over $50, you'll have to go to coscom or something.

Ok, tomorrow I leave the Kumoricon forums FAR behind.

As for the $50 budget, I keep running into worse than that, or players thinking Goodwill will fill their needs, but thanks for the heads up. :)

Good riddance, that place is absolutely horrid. I gave up on trying to be apart of that community a few months ago.

Though there are still groups of those who do photoshoots and stuff in between cons so they aren't too detached. There are a handful of cool dudes on the forums still, but just stray away from there and you'll met some people.

And I guess that's all I have to say, haha.
