    • We are still working on some of the outstanding CloudFlare issues. We are aware of an issue affecting IE users where all images are saved as BMP and are working on a fix. We will also be sending proper Last-Modified headers on HTML starting early next week (works on our end, waiting on a fix from CDN). And still tracking down the issues with posting/accessing sys.4chan.org.

    I've gotten a few e-mails from Australian users about difficulty resolving 4chan DNS and accessing the site. If you are affected, please e-mail moot@4chan.org with more specifics like your ISP, and what the 4chan subdomains are resolving to (run "nslookup boards.4chan.org" and "nslookup www.4chan.org" from command prompt/terminal).

    Hey, seagulls.
    I'm a pretty anxious and paranoid person when it comes down to it, and one of my greatest fears is traveling on an airplane.
    Now, I don't live in a very convention-saturated state, so to get to big cons like AX and Sakura Con, I'd have to fly.
    I want to go to these cons eventually, but I'd have to get over my fear of flying.
    Do you have any tips on how I could conquer my fear other than the obvious "just get on a plane" answer, but any helpful advice? I'd really appreciate it. And feel free to post any travel-related stories you have, or whatever.

    it doesn't help much, but planes are just about the safest form of travel.

    however, I've been flying since I was three and I still have panic attacks on airplanes. :/

    although yeah, drugs might be worth a try.

    Don't sleep much the night before the trip.

    That way when you board the plane as soon as you sit you are ready to sleep through the whole thing.

    Hey anon! I am absolutely terrified of planes but I have flown a lot. What I usually do is take a pill or two of Gravol and it just knocks me right out. It also really helps because I get motion sick and so that way it helps settle my stomach and I sleep through the entire plane ride. Flying really isn't as bad as you think it is, but I understand your fear.

    can we also talk about packing elaborate cosplays on planes, or even in cars with limited space? I've only had to drive a large group of friends to a con once but that's definitely going to be happening more often next year, and I'm not totally sure how to pack heavily styled wigs and large props (although I guess a lot of that one is going to come down to how they're constructed and how collapsible they are).
