UTAU'S and fanmade Vocaloids just anger me. I'm fond of Neru because shes cute, but all the other ones (Akaito, Nigaito, Retsu, Taito, and whatever hell other ones.) They are just pitchloids. UTAU's are just horrible (some are really good.) But if you went on youtube and looked up utau's your ears would bleed.

Ahem...mayhaps I ought not to post while sick. Regardless, yeah. I personally LOVE Gumi's voice bank. I actually ended up buying Deco*27's "Aimai Elegy" album because of Marina and Gumi alone. I don't mind Miki or Hiyama. I couldn't stand Yuki when she was released because she was used horribly and her voice bank wasn't recorded well. But she's grown on me. After that it just went down hill.

I'm already attempting her. I'm scared for the upcoming Summer cons for the flood of them.

I know that the middle of the tie is suppose to be a minidisc but putting a real disc just on top of the bow looks awkward

I like all the vocaloids. They've all got their own sparks and quirks that make them them. But there are few that I actually REALLY follow and then some that don't interest me as much.

I even like the UTAUloids. Yeah, they're freeware, but they can be really fun if done right. The designs I've seen on some are really damn good. And if you record your voice bank well, it sounds amazing. I'll admit to making my own utau. They're really fun, and after making my own, I can see just how hard it is for each company to make the Vocaloids. It's a pain!

Baaaah. I'm currently working on her as well. Just purchased a 4.9 foot wig and going to buy another to assure the thickness. Getting vinyl and pleather for the top as well. Basically a costume full of DON'T SCREW UP ON THE FIRST TRY. Need EL wire too haha. This is my big project of next year. Going to require a lot of money.

I wouldn't say that! Meiko's most defining feature is her waist and bust. If you can rock that, you've got it going for you. I've seen bigger girls pull Meiko off in a way that I find actually more appropriate.

Sakine Meiko is also really easy if you have that puppy feel going as you say. You'll just have to have the most flattering wig and petticoat to make your skirt work.

Hi guys I heard there was Vocaloid

I've got a lot of feelings about this whole thing. I wasn't one of the first fans but I came in just before they released Luka. And I really liked the range of voices they had. I think Gumi was the last one that actually had a distinct sound. As they keep creating more and more voicebanks, the more and more they will sound the same--although I am amused by Piko and Gachapoid, they're pretty cute.

But really, I barely even try to organize all my Vocaloid music by singer anymore-- I think organizing it by producer makes more sense since each producer more or less has their own style.

As for cosplay, there are definitely some things that I could live without seeing, i.e. Sandplay or people just randomly slapping butterfly headphones on everything. I still get really excited when I see some other Vocaloid variations, like the Wide Knowledge of the Late group from a con I went to last year and the Melancholic Rin from Fanime. Seeing people cosplaying from songs you like shows that you share similar taste in music with someone, and that's pretty cool imo. :) I've got a whole bunch of alts that I want to do, a few being Len from The Detective Loupe, Qualia, and Rin from Don't Mylist Me.

no offense but SeeU's songs are complete and utter shit. I have been misled after the first promo of SeeU came out. She sounds terrible without the human singing with her.

While they cheated on I=fantasy to create a very human-like voice, SeeU by herself doesn't actually sound bad for a vocaloid. She's at the level of the better vocaloid soundbanks. She is reputedly a complex vocaloid to work with so it's not too surprising if in these early days producers have trouble unlocking her potential.

The second demo song Never Let You Go was pretty good though. I hated Run because it just sounded like the same old bullshit high pitched Miku/Rin, but I think that they released that song to appeal to Miku/Rin fans and to show off the range of the voice bank.
