Her father is abusive and we have Ashley saying it numerous times. Crazy Fred is a good guy. Absolutely nuts, and gets hilariously violent when he's off his meds.
He kind of shuffles around, mouth half-open, trying to find cigarette butts on the ground most of the day. I usually give him a few smokes if he doesn't yell at me, but most of the time he'll at someone (or the air, which I suppose might be a person to him) about the randomest shit. Not like the crazy jesus man we have downtown, who yells out PRAISE JESUS at you when you're least expecting it. Crazy Fred doesn't have an agenda. Hell, one time he yelled at me saying I was potted plant that died. It really depends on the day.
He gets committed to the mental ward every couple months. His most favourite person to yell at is the local pharmacist, Calm Cindy. Cindy is very understanding when Fred decides he needs all the sunscreen in the place or tries to jump over and steal other peoples' meds from behind the counter.
It's overall a good day when I see Fred shuffling around. We also have a mentally disturbed lady who sits at the corner with roses at 3am every night and seems to be so fat she's become a man. There are nice people too, like the too-fat-to-walk scooter people. They love talking about the weather.

There's a guy in my city called Crazy Mike. He went to my high school way back when and I guess he was pretty cool but there are a few rumours about how he became crazy.

I think the most true rumour is that his brain was fried on drugs. He wears these big black headphones all the time, rides a moped, wears jean shorts almost all year round, has curly shoulder length hair, and talks to himself a lot.

He's pretty harmless though but it's fun to spot him around town since he's kind of a legend. I've seen his house before and he had to board up the windows because kids were throwing rocks and the like into his house. =(

OH, I forgot to mention our korean grandma. She lives just three doors down. She's tiny, like 4'9", and pretty much so hunched over her back will never be straight again.
She escapes all the time, and speaks no english. My mum, our other neighbours and I are always on the watch. That lady is old and crippled but walks super fast, and when we return her to her daughter, she yells in korean and tries to hit us. Bless her tiny soul. She should probably be in a home by now, considering the lack of help her daughter is.
