Late
to the party, but the peripheral facts that are slipping through the
cracks here at that the actual 'rape' incident happened several years
ago, making it kind of irrelevant in the present. The rape in question
was consensual sex between an under-aged girl and a guy who I believe
was 18 at the time (not entirely sure about that. Grapevine and all
that.)
I've also heard that at the time, the girl's parents were okay with their daughter having sex, but make of that what you will.
The
long and short of it is that the guy isn't a rapist and the whole
incident likely boils down to, "I had sex with this guy, and then
regretted it, but to make myself feel less like a naive idiot who made a
mistake, I shall paint him as a sociopath who forced me into having sex
with him."
Seriously. Serial Rapist? Does it become rape if you
change your mind in the middle of the act? Does thinking 'I wish I
didn't fuck that guy' make the guy a rapist?
The whole thing is
sketchy and the problem is the timing. It's one person, claiming this
guy is out and about, raping women by the truckload, years after. |
