with Boris on this too. As long as you know you have a budget, stick to
it, work to get the best you can with your money, and do the best job
you can considering life's other obligations, then that's fine. You're
doing the right thing. I was just saying I hate it when it's an
excuse to cover up shitty work or try to weasel discounts. No way in
hell was I going to entertain the $15 offer on my costume. As it was, I
was only trying to recoup materials fees and the price included shipping
 too. >>5139549 This
too. Even when I was in college I never would've begged for discounts
or told anyone I was poor. I just watched my budget, saved up, and
shopped carefully. If a person is willing to entertain alternate
offers, you just make your offer reasonable and see where it goes. No
need to try and play the pity card, if a seller is ok with the offer,
then they're ok with the offer. I guess my issue is that some
buyers can only think of themselves and their situation implying that I
should care about their situation too (like you said). I don't care
about their situation, maybe I'm selling off my stuff to pay down debt
but it's not like I'm going to say "Boohoo guys, I needs munny. Buy my
stuff". No one will care, if they like what I'm offering, they will buy
it. Do you get the impression that buyers think you're trying to rip them off sometimes, hence the ultra lowball offers? Most of my stuff is below or on par with what other people are asking.
