Wannabe lolita here, is this dress ita?
    >> Anonymous 10/29/11(Sat)13:04 No.5110988
    yes
    >> Anonymous 10/29/11(Sat)13:06 No.5110991
Too short and too sexy for lolita.
    But I love it.

It's too short. It looks more like a costume than Lolita. Without the cape, it could work for Erololita, though.

It's pretty short, and the silhouette isn't right. In spite of its title on the website, I don't think it's lolita. Save the image I posted for reference, it's very useful to figure out the proper shape for dresses.

That doesn't mean you can't wear it. I think it's pretty cute, in fact. But it isn't quite lolita, so just don't call it lolita or wear it to meet-ups or anything. It's also a little bit costume-y, even though it is pretty, so I wouldn't wear it just out and about. It would be good to wear at conventions or costume parties.

I am inclined to say yes OP due to the material quality of fanplusfriend. A few lolitas in the past have praised the quality but owning two pieces from them myself before I properly understood the difference of brand quality, I know that they weren't high quality.

As to style, I suppose that's subjective. Hime lolita is a recongised substyle and I guess that would go under that banner but in my honest opinion, I don't consider it one of the more popular substyles. And like anything, it's how you wear it. A lolita could have an AP JSK and still look ita if she wears it as such. (IE acessories that dont't do, those awful japanese leg warmer thingies, cat ears..) So IDK.

To me, I wouldn't wear it due to the quality and it not being my style. However, if you like it OP and you think you can pull it off, more power to you.

It's very pretty, but it's not lolita. Still, if that's what you like, by all means, wear the hell out of it. Just don't call it lolita.

A quick note on Ero - it is pretty difficult to pull off and is mostly for photo shoots, so I wouldn't recommend it to beginners (but that isn't to say don't do it ever). I also wouldn't wear ero lolita just out and about, most lolitas don't.

I agree. If you're just starting with the fashion, then Ero is not recommended. It's very easy to turn ero into Hot Topic ita.

it looks like a wedding dress if you wore this out you'd get a bunch of jokes from older people asking if you ran away from your wedding etc.
