I wasn't old enough at the time when Goth Talk first aired but I saw clips of it when I was in my teens and getting into the gothic subculture and I found it to be hilarious. Mostly because I knew a lot of gawthix kids like that, so it fit.

This though? Yeah, no. I like the spoof of Sailor Moon, but they should have at least had them being insane, talking about yaoi and talking about cosplay or drawing fanart or making AMVs or something.

I haven't watched SNL in forever but the last parody I thought was hilarious was the ICP videos because they too seemed to have studied the subculture.
