Devil's advocate here, but what's with the 'rape survivor' phrase like in OP's pic? Usually 'survivor' denotes having survived an event that would otherwise be deadly, such as "I'm a survivor of that plane crash in which everyone else died" or "I'm a survivor of the My Lai massacre". Certainly rape can be violent and people have been killed after being raped, but I have to believe that being raped *to death* is not a common occurrence.

Rape is like the worst thing that could happen to anybody. The point is just that victims should be consoled and not chastised for wearing a form-fitting dress at night. No one wants to hear after an unfortunate event that it was their fault.
