I read the directions wrong and got lost.
Discovered that my city apparently has a Korea-Town.

With friends in cosplay walking to a convention far up ahead. A bunch of preppy teenagers come up in their car and we're afraid that they would start mocking us. Instead we get:

"I'll see you at the con you faggots!!!"

idk why that made me laugh so hard. I guess it was because it was so unexpected.

Driving from L.A. county to San Jose for Fanime.

We left at 10PM at night, to get to the con next morning since it's about a six hour trip, and it'd give us plenty of time to relax on the way, and even take naps at the rest stops)

We were driving up the coastal route instead of on the inland route. We get up to about Santa Barbara/Solvang area. There's pretty much no traffic since it's roughly about midnight.

Skies were completely clear, moon was full, and we can see the beach and water. The scene was beautiful. The water was lit up with the reflection of the moon, and the only other lights out there were the lights from the oil rigs/tanker ships out there.

It was simply stunning, and something we'd have never seen if we had traveled in the morning, or on the inland route.

I quit my Job and hung up on my boss

Why is it always fedoras?

The most interesting thing that happened was getting all sorts of looks on the bus while in cosplay, mostly good and curious ones. I'm so happy to live by the bus loop, I can be the first one on and get the best seat for myself since I was heading to the last stop of the bus ride.

At the train station, tons of cosplayers were there, and this young man in a business suit just goes, "what is this a fucking halloween party?"

While I don't ask every cosplayer's age before I take their picture, I make an effort not to take pictures of girls that look like jailbait. Even then, it's not like he takes the pictures and runs into the bathroom cackling. I show them to him on my camera.

An attractive woman is a goddamn attractive woman. As long as the girl isn't pedobait it's not creepy for men of all ages to find them attractive.

And yes, our cons are crawling with 13-14 year olds. Especially local cons. Also, we don't really have the "drinking" mentallity that you guys seem to have. If you ask someone at a con ehre if they brought any booze they'll probably look at you like you're an alien.
