So heres what gets me. I sweat /cgl/, like any other normal person. use deodorant, nothing special just speed stick. even so, I'll end up sweating through that. (And am suspicous its making me sweat more tbh)

But here's what gets me. How people get yellow stains? In all the years of my life i have never made the pits on my shirt YELLOW, from sweating.

    AND YET
how many dresses, blouses do you see being sold on egl etc. with these yellow pit stains.

    idk I'm baffled.

I did once and only once whilst wearing a white t-shirt.

The strange thing was, I've never done it again and the night I did end up with yellowish pit stains I'd had a major adrenaline rush from having to defend my boyfriend from some meathead who wanted to "take him outside" because he couldn't have me.

Adrenaline makes you sweat like crazy so maybe there's a chemical in there that gives it a yellow hue?

Back in high school the way my teacher explained it was that sweat is basically pee just in smaller quantities and sometimes it will leave a yellow stain, like pee.
IDK if it was true but it grossed the hell out of me.
    >> Anonymous 09/27/11(Tue)16:33 No.5011838
I get them. I do not know why. I believe I read somewhere it's something to do with the ph level and acidity in people's sweat glands. There are varying degrees.
    >> Anonymous 09/27/11(Tue)16:36 No.5011853
Yellow stains show up over time. If you wear the same shirt a lot of sweat in it a lot they will appear.
However if you wear the shirt once and they appear, you either need to learn better hygiene or go see the doctor.
    >> Anonymous 09/27/11(Tue)16:40 No.5011865
Have you considered that the stains may not be sweat at all? Another bodily fluid, perhaps?

Pee is filtrate from your kidneys with mostly water and things that aren't wanted by the body, while sweat comes from apocrine glands that's mainly water and salt.

Apocrine sweat becomes smelly, and most likely why turns our shirts yellow, when they come in contact with bacteria.

It sucks to have something like hyperhydrosis (sweating too much). I'm not sure how you can stop bacteria from doing this.

I just pee on the armpits of all the burando before I sell 'em. Y'know....for laughs.

I sit around jerking off with all my shirts. always and forever

Sweat is salty, and salt isn't white.

Slightly off topic, but I figure someone might find it useful: You can get the stains out by handwashing the shirt/dress/whatever with shampoo. Shampoo is made to dissolve fats, so it takes care of sweat stains just fine.

Solution: drink more water OP. It is often the answer. And use a sauna if you have access to one.

    >goes on to answer OP's question about why it stains

I don't see them trying to show off. Not to mention, they're posting as anon so what credit would they be getting.

Clearly you're just offended that they know much more about disgusting things that come out of armpits than you are. I guess. Pretty weird bro

Underarm stains are caused by the reaction between anti-perspirant ingredients and the salts in your sweat. Most anti-perspirants contain aluminum compounds to reduce wetness. It is the aluminum that causes the build-up and yellowing on fabrics. The stains don’t appear overnight, but without proper handling of garments may happen after continuous wear.

So not wearing deodorant would prevent sweat stain, but we have to wear it to avoid getting smelly and sweaty. I guess you can't win either way.

I find OP's situation strange. I only ever need deoderant when I'm nervous, and when I do sweat it never stains anything, and I barely drink anything in a day

    This is very helpful!

I can get yellowish pit stains in my white shirts after a while, and I hardly sweat at all!

    >>5015911
I was about to be like I DONT KNOW WHY THIS HAPPENS but you've answered my question already. Thanks!

I have a natural deodorant that doesn't have aluminum to prevent yellow stains and stink. It's not too difficult to find, check your local CVS/Walgreens or whatever Pharmacy

This totally makes since. I don't use deodorant since I'm allergic to the anti-pespirant and I've never gotten miscoloured sweatstains. My sweet doesn't even smell at all.

So aluminum (acid?) + wet (not letting it dry) = ruins clothes apparently. If you decide to wear these kinds of deodorants, let it dry.
