    There are approximately 52 days until Anime USA commences in Crystal City, Virginia. This year’s theme is based on service and duty of not only our Armed Services, but of the public safety and civil protection personnel. There’s also Military Ball that will occur in the convention as well. Of course with having a anime convention with a military theme, there is the possibility of military cosplayers as well.

    Anyway, this a general discussion thread for the con. Talk about whatever.

    I for see lots of Hetalia Hijinks... yeah, the Hetalia community in the DC area isn't too bad, the ones that remain are pretty chill.

    Anyways, I'll be there probably just for Friday and Saturday. It's a good smaller sized convention and I love the way everything is laid out, it makes finding what you need in the dealer's room nice and easy.

    That reminds me: I considered AUSA 2008 or 2009 to be Hetaliacon due to the presence of Hetalia cosplayers at the time. I even took a photo of a bunch of Hetalia cosplayers at night hanging out at the hotel pedestrian balcony.

    It was probably 2009. In 2008 I remember making a Spain really excited because I knew Hetalia. In 2009 though there were a whole bunch (Katsucon 2009 exposed a lot of people because of that one skit) I was definitely one of the people on the balcony.
