09/26/11(Mon)20:04 No.5009213Just
a little story regarding a Ness cosplay: at AX a few years ago, my
female friend and I dressed up as Ness and Paula respectively. She's
pretty small to begin with, and had bound her chest for the purposes of
the costume. We had a lot of people interested in our costumes, but one
pair of dudes in particular stands out. They asked for pictures and
struck up a conversation and were being generally very friendly,
especially with my friend. I thought they were hitting on her (hey,
nothing inherently wrong with that,) until out of nowhere one of them
gets this look of shock on his face and exclaims to my friend "Oh!
You're a girl!" at which point both of them stop talking and walk away
without another word. I suppose if that's the weirdest thing to happen
to her at a con as big as AX she should consider herself lucky, but we
still laugh about it sometimes to this day.
Regarding your shoe
question, I'd think that a pair of red Vans would be the most
comfortable to walk around in. For comfort I personally prefer them to
converse, but as far as how they look I don't have any feelings one way
or the other. I don't think anybody's gonna get mad at you for wearing
the wrong make of sneaker, so long as it's red with white laces. |
