we actually had a remade spreadsheet on some other domain but everyone was fucking around with it and it got deleted because it was a public document? i dont even KNOW

but i think it's time we just remake the damn thing and update it because most of those trips don't come here anymore, or they seldom do

I can't help but feel this is not a case appropriate for spreadsheets.

I think it was made by a seagull, but someone asked their friends for the attraction and cute ratings or whatever. but there's no way a non seeagull could know that much about this stuff.

If you want a new sheet, someone make one from scratch, keep the ratings, should only add relevant trips/names. If you can't remember who someone is then maybe they shouldn't be added. actual cosplayers and lolis preferred, attn whores need not apply.

Obviously known names, and trips, perhaps location, but the back story field offers context for the tripfag, so people know more about them. Having that said, the back stories are generally terrible opinion.

Agreed; including e-mail seems okay, as long as it's e-mail said tripfag put in the e-mail field for giggles and not their personal e-mail that was hunted down by intense creepers.

This board is rather unique in that the core subject matter is essentially "nerds meeting each other in real life," which gives a lot more incentive to trip/namefag (to identify yourself online to people you regularly meet offline at cons,) AND magnifies the consequences of name/tripfagging by quite a bit.

So, for the personal benefit of all of us, it behooves us to self-police the creeper bullshit as much as we can. I've personally stumbled over info about trip/namefags that I subsequently sat on, and I'm going to remain seated, to. We've got enough of that shit, here.

For the real names part I more meant either a real first name Or a second online handle. For example my real name would reveal my FB and g+, one online handle is my CI and tumblr, and another is my dA. So if people wanted to share more info they could by providing alternate handles rather than direct links to various websites...?

Looking back it sounds really attention seeky and dumb, so maybe scratch that idea.

Also in the case of people not recognizing me, I've only been using a trip for about a year after lurking for 2-3 years and I only really post in UK threads, so no-one really knows or remembers me. I know the newfag thing wasn't specifically aimed at me but I felt like giving input so... Yeah...
