A fair number of cons I went to had wristbands or even just stamps (Dot-Con, Atomic Lollipop, March Toronto Anime Con, Dec Toronto Anime Con, A FanExpo or two)

I stopped collecting them...I think I've hit over 30 cons so keeping them all around on display is kind of annoying. I'm sure they're all somewhere.

Yeah, I went backwards. I don't know why I went to SDCC so many times before going to an anime convention when I like anime and manga more.

After 30 or so cons, I'd stop keeping the pieces of plastic.

Anyone have any stories about badge misplacement? Were the staff understanding or was it like trying to get through a security check with many steps involved?

One convention I went to was charging $80 at the door. People would "lose" their badges and pay the $15 replacement fee to get another one (generally for that one buddy who didn't want to pay $80 but had to pay at the door).

I scrapbooked and boxed away the badges I have from any years previous to '09, and there were a few cons that had wristbands or stickers as badges, so those are thrown away. I have a lot of Texas con badges, since AX has been my only out of state con. These pictured are the badges from early 2009-present. I'm just too lazy to look through my closet to find all the others I have. Haha.

I went to Geekkon last year. (inb4 no one has heard of it), didn't go this year because I see no point in going when last year I got ignored when I tried talking to people, and I cannot afford cosplay, nor do I resemble any anime character. Whatever.

I've been collecting badges since I attended anime conventions since Katsucon 13. I think I have at least 25 badges in my collection.

Not sure if I can count Otakon this year or not; while I was down there a lot longer than I expected, it was with a fake badge I made (feels bad man, i only expected to be there for a few hours, would have bought a badge if i had known)...

Did someone say Animazement badges?

I lost my lanyards/chains from 2001-2003. I think I threw them out so I can't hang them up with the rest of mine. Maybe I'll get a frame for them when I finally get my posters and certificates framed.

I am at 30 or so badges that I've saved over the years. A good chunk are E3 badges, so I don't think those would count. But I keep them anyways. One day, I'm just gonna attend a con wearing every badge I have.

I'm at 61 badges since my first con in 05 I dodn't think thats to bad going
