Had a good time, as usual the content of the panels and anime rooms felt "low-tier" but that's more anime-related and not necessarily cosplay-related.

Cosplay competition was mostly a joke, but that's my opinion. The fact that a stupid nyan cat (claiming to be from Nico Nico, BULLSHIT) got second in the intermediate makes me feel pretty bad. I really enjoyed the homuras walking around, even if none of them had the awesome disk-thing that stops time.

Some of the black rock shooters (I saw 2) didn't get anything right, didn't do anything particularly interesting, and mostly just had an excuse to wear a swimsuit and a giant robe/trenchcoat. The right pigtail-thing is shorter than the left, if any of you are reading this. It's a potentially awesome cosplay that benefits from little changes like that.

Groudon was awesome. Fuck yeah Groudon.

I loved these two, though I have to admit the Vaporeon was my favorite. Her gijinka was absolutely gorgeous.

So, I heard a rumor floating around the con about this guy (The scout), supposedly he's been hanging out with young girls, ages 14-18, and "accidently" copping feels, and pretty much touching them without consent..

He had no idea what any of the scout weapons were. I mean, a little forgivable but I don't think he really knew what he was cosplaying when another scout addressed him at one point during the con.

I have a sneaking suspicion he was the guy that was America (from APH) at Wasabi this past year and helped run that panel. I seem to recall he was about as creepy then as he was here. Is that the same guy? Can anyone help me out here?

Loved the con. 2nd time for me and its just as awesome as it was last year. Now I gotta wait a fuck ton to go back and have even more fun :(.

Was kinda bummed that only like three people recognized my cosplay (Remington Smisse from Wakfu), but I felt that would be the case anyway. Fans dont usually look west for the next great show (even though Wakfu is bitchtacular and everyone should watch it).

Still had loads of fun. Panels were great. Artists alley cleaned out my wallet again. Lots of great and very creative costumes walking around. Cant wait till next year

I've been going to NDK since 2006 and, for whatever reason, this year was the best so far.
Which is awesome, because last year was so terrible, I was thinking about not coming back.

Thanks to everyone who attended the lolita panels, sorry the dress-up battle was in such a tiny room and we had some logistical issues...those will be ironed out for next year!

Had a great time. A lot better than last year. I think a lot of the cosplay was better too.

I guess I have a story. My friend ditched me for someone else while I was in one of my cosplays. It was difficult to move my arms because how restricting the armor was. I couldn't open doors or even use my phone...not that I even had pockets in it. Few people got my cosplay but whatever. Just going to look for someone more reliable next time.

I'll bite. A girl and I did Lee Sin and Caitlyn from LoL this year, kind of babbies first cosplay, but if anyone has pictures of it, I'd appreciate it.

For those who went to the rave, I wore all white and did the splits a bunch of times. Nuff said xD

First of all thanks! I would've done it for longer but walking around NDK damn near blind was BRUTAL. The surfer singed was pretty cool, but he left before we could do a group picture.

Loved the con but I definitely agree with the frustration about some of the con goers. But I definitely was happy that the cosplayers I talked to this year were incredibly nice. There were a few in years past that just couldn't be bothered with compliments or pictures. Saw an awesome Hawkeye that once I figure out how to take the pictures off my phone I'll post.

To me this NDK was kinda meh, although I finally had a drama free con. Helped my friend with her drama but that wasn't too bad. I'm not sure about going next year, wasn't that into it much this year and it felt kinda repetitive. I was happy to see more Hellsing running around this NDK, and the middle elevator for the atrium tower was fun lol especially to the 5th floor.

This...cosplaying Pedobear would be one thing, but I'd be really uncomfortable if an unknowing parent sent their child over to me for a hug or a picture. I'd probably refuse.
The Pedobear at Ohayocon last year made me really uncomfortable. He/she took it too far by rubbing the children cheerleaders while hugging them. It was just weird.

I had a great time! Surprisingly, nobody was a badge Nazi this year, as it was mentioned in previous threads. I only got checked when going into the dealers room and the Cosplay Contest. So that was nice.

The younger crowd was rather annoying, though, I must agree. Can't count how many times people mistook me as Miku Hatsune when I was Nia...
The World Cosplay Summit panel was full of Hetalia fans that would giggle every time a country was mentioned ("CHIIINA. TEEHEE KAWAII.") and I was coming down the stairwell in my big dress when the Amnesia grunts came running up with their sound effects playing. Nearly shit myself. I really wanted to talk to you guys and tell you how good you did, but I was too shy.

Yeah, there is a huge atrium inside of the hotel and a lot of the room balconies are indoors and overlook the convention. Since last year, they started doing a decoration contest. The group I took pictures of won first place. They did a whole set up of Death City from Soul Eater.
Second place went to a Nyan Cat balcony, that had twinkling stars and everything. It was really cool!

I think you are confused with the balcony winners. Nobody in a Nyan Cat costume won the actual costume contest. The people that did the Nyan Cat decorations for their balcony won second place.

The other lady was selling junk and was charging from $45 - $110 for necklaces and pedants alone. I guess when some people came to her booth with a purchase that had broken, she told them she couldn't fix it or refund them, so many people went to the other table and the lady there helped them instead.

On Saturday night, I was walking back from the rave (wasn't in it, just looking for my friends) and I walked right by Vic Mangina. He's really, really short. I'm 5' 2" and I think we were at eye level exactly with each other.

Anyway, I had a fun time besides being really, really sick and there being so many people this year, which kind of freaked me out.

I love the VGR, though. So much fun!

One of my favorite memories this year was when you two were walking down a hall and my husband was just standing there oblivious; then one of you brushed him as you walked by and he jumped a mile and was like "ahh it touched me!" then the other one brushed him and he was like "ahh another one touched me!" The other lady is Grace. She goes to tons of cons and makes trash, then overcharges on it. She badmouths customers and other artists, including the Alice table, because she feels entitled to after being in "the scene" for so long. Ther's more to it, but I feel horrible for everyone she has ripped off.

NDK this year was MEH for me. I had fun, enjoyed the costumes, but had to work and deal with high school style drama. And the lines this year were ridiculous.

Well, the convention was boring as shit. I spent the entire time drunk off my ass (but when has that ever changed?), and I even decided to go back to the house for a few hours to listen to my Bebop albums and jack off in peace.

Resident Evil panel was kinda funny. Made me laugh to find out just how many weebs work on base. Made me laugh even harder when people kept looking at blatant plastic toys like they were real.

But I think I laughed hardest when I saw people who can't obey simple traffic laws get booted from the hotel. Man, that was a riot.
