I turned on the TV 2 days ago to see that both French and English Teletoon had now some live action show. They have that shitty Hole in the Wall show, on the French channel it's the same shit but dubbed. The ads for the cartoon are dubbed by someone that doesn't sound enthusiastic and is terribly monotone and makes pee/poo jokes.

What the fuck happened? I knew TV was getting more and more terrible, but it's a new all time low. That's why I only watch Dr.Who, Dr.House, other random sci-fi shows when I catch them, whatever is playing a Télétoon Rétro French/English and anime on the net...

The only part of ATBG I can really recall was Courtney (the blonde chick) who stuffed her swimsuit bikini with bubble wrap to make it look like she had boobs, then getting the bikini ripped off.

At the time, I was around 12, and I have no idea why I still remember only that one episode after watching so many other episodes of it. I feel like a pervert.

The only show that got teen slice of life correct was As Told By Ginger. That whole last season was pretty much my friends and I's first year of High School to a T.

If you shot the whole thing in live action, it would be pretty much the same show.

I agree with Rocket Power for the emotional episodes. Like the one where Tito babysits, the wedding one, the story arch where Otto breaks his leg, and the relationship between Reggie and Raymundo.

Other than that, it was pretty much All Grown Up with XTREME sports.

My Life Me actually has some things I can relate to. I dressed a lot like the main character in my teen years, some of my friends and I did the same stuff they did, we shared similar interests to the characters too.

What I'm saying is the ATBG actually had realistic situations that could actually happen to people in real life. My Life Me has no deep values, no character development, is too exaggerated to be serious, and screams "TEENAGE WEEB ART PROJECT". Not to mention, I don't know anyone that acts EXACTLY like those characters in real life and are being serious, where as I could see ATBG characters being real people. It's shallow, hyperactive, and just all around bad.

As Told By Ginger was a fantastic show that I did relate to, but even if I didn't I would still consider it to be one of the only animated shows to get Slice of Life right.

As told by ginger was a "series" where i felt the show was going somewhere. Like it had a relevant point it wanted to make, and My life me is just one of those shows that wants to get as much popularity as possible for the longest time possible.

The only thing thats wrong with my life me is that its doing it wrong. Different shows have different niches that allow the audience to find the show whimsical in some manner. The only thing my life me has is the fact that it has weeaboo art. Which is not a good thing.

Hell, even stoked had a niche and style that allowed me to really enjoyed it, and to some degree, i even considered learning to surf after watching it.
