If this is you that I saw on my tumblr feed, good job. Your skirt needs ironed and I can't tell if you're wearing socks or tights but don't forget them. Also, wear good shoes. I think he wears some army boots later so if you have something like that planned, good. Also, the top looks a little tight around your bust. You'll want to either fix that or make a new one. I can see your bra.

The skirt was the first draft. The second draft was involved in a very small fire, and I'm kinda broke to buy new fabric right now. I do agree that it needs ironed, it's very sloppy. I'm wearing black over the knee socks, but they're kinda crap and see through, so I think I'm gonna go with tights. As for the shoes, I have some slightly heeled lace up boots, though I was thinking about just getting some loafers to be more school uniform-like. Yeah, the top is a bit tight around my bust area, it puckers if I move the slightest bit. I'm going to see if I can sew snaps between the buttons just so its a bit more secure. I'm glad I started to cosplay to my body type. Being big is no fun, and I'm trying to lose weight, but I don't want to give up cosplay until I'm skinny either!

Also NONONONONONONO. I read something about a kid who did that once though. He was arrested. I have a pistol prop and a smaller shotgun prop. I might just make due with the gun case instead though.

Does it really count as 'cosplaying to your body type' by just wearing the female school uniform from the show and saying, 'Derp derp no, it's the genderbent version of the overweight male character!'

Just seems like a copout to wear a school uniform instead of binding and covering up for the dude's actual costume.

I'm cosplaying Kouta because he's my favorite character in HSOTD. He's had a hard life full of depression, and felt very alone til the others reached out to him. I relate to the characterso much.

But back to genderbending. It's accurate, right? The proper uniform, the proper glasses, hair colour. Hell the wig is almost the same, its just got a longer bottom layer. And I have bound for cosplay before, but I have a huge fucking rack, and it's hard to make them invisible even in FTM binders. I wanted to do a female version of Kouta. He wears his uniform for the duration of the anime, excluding when he takes the overshirt off while he's on the balcony.

If I wanted to wear a school uniform and flounce around in it, I would. This is cosplay, though. Wig, prop, costume, lenses.
