NO! NO! NO! GODDAMN IT NO!. The Guy Fawke's mask (New Anonymous) has been played out many times. If you have to cosplay as old anonymous get a green spandex suit. Then get a black suit and pants, white buttoned down shirt and a red tie, and black shoes. You can get these cheaply at a thrift store.

You don't have to run around screaming THE GAME. You don't have to meme sprout, just act yourself.

@OP: The green face/black suit is the one and only mascot for Anonymous as it exists on 4chan. The Guy Fawkes mask actually has absolutely nothing to do with Anonymous as a mascot, however there are several reasons it came about. In essence it boils down to it already being established with Epic Fail Guy and idiots on /b/ who started posting in Hot Topic masks, then later during the scientology raids, there was a need for a cheap and easily recognizable method of concealing one's features.

tl;dr Guy Fawkes masks truly have nothing to do with Anonymous as a 4chan mascot, and everything to do with Anonymous as a hacktivist construct.

Now if you want to be somewhat original, you'll go make a deadmau5 head with a blank face and blacklight ears. Wear that with the same suit and call yourself Anonymouse.

Once you get a proper mask (buckram or whatever) you'll fits more into the character. It's difficult to perform the character at first because the length of time to put on the components, and (I'm also a cosplay photographer so I take con footage while cosplaying) and if you want to eat and use the restroom, but you get used to it. I acted no differently than I was without the mask, but for some reason it presented me with some freedom, without worry.

I never meme sprout like an idiot and people actually wanted to take photos of me with the suit. Particularly at one open air art event, people thought I was a walking art exhibit.

One thing about buckram, don't use a buckram mask during the summer unless you have a bottle of water with you. They're fine in the Fall, Winter, and Spring.

This is all I can think of when someone wants to do a headless cosplay.

Ah, thanks a lot guys. I'll avoid guy fawke's mask, and find a green suit. Yes, I can even get that in Denmark.
Dunno if I'll wear it for a con, or just make a photo shoot. There isn't enough real-life anon's out there.

"Old Anonymous" and "New Anonymous" directly implies there are at least two variants of 4chan's Anonymous mascot, which Masao just explained isn't true.

There is no "new anonymous". A Guy Fawkes mask has nothing to do with the mascot. It's just a cheap and recognizable way to conceal one's face for IRL trolling. Throwing a suit on underneath it was just a way to further distinguish oneself.
