riding, dog training, crafting (building things with wood, fabric
remnants, fake flowers, etc; currently working on a moving carousel),
and baking. And reading, I guess. Mostly Victorian lit and some medical
stuff (anatomy and diseases mostly). Oh and collecting things (music
boxes and figurines, vintage dolls and bears).
How do I make time
for all this shit besides lolita? Well besides the fact that lolita
doesn't really take up a lot of time (you find shit, buy shit, and wear
said shit), I don't sleep. Literally. I get maybe 5 hours sleep in a 48
hour period. Insomnia sucks a lot of the time, but hey, I live with an
extended-day of sorts, even if I do end up almost passing out at the end
of each week. I've tried medications to try to regulate my sleep cycle,
but by now it's become such a natural part of my life that I just said
fuck it and continue on.
Oh and movies and video games. I'm a big
horror movie fan. And I'm one of those retards who spends 90 hours on
RPGs testing all possible character backgrounds/outcomes and doesn't
leave the house for at least 3 days once I buy a new game (I used to be
majoring in game design before I realized I got more exposure to the
people in the industry, and got the fuck out of there, so analyzing
gameplay and shit is a hobby inadvertently).
I'm pretty sure
cosplayers have WAY less time than lolitas do, since their hobby
involves creating clothes and not just wearing them. I have some amazing
cosplayer friends who can pull off detailed costumes in less than a
week if they've been procrastinating before a con. Their blood, sweat,
and tears go into that costume and they're really fucked up from working
for so many hours straight, but they have way more to show than I do
with my store-bought lolita items.
tl;dr I don't sleep, that's how, OP. |
