on the agency/country and the time of the year, it also depends on what
kind of work you usually do. In Paris I only get 25% of what I make,
but I get 50% of what I make a year later (taxes that the agency takes
wich I don't even have to pay... fuckers). During fashionweek you don't
make money, but when it's catalog and campaign season there is a big
chance you make enough to last the whole year, that is.. if it's outside
of Paris. It's kind of shitty when you get a 12k job and only receive
1,5k because of your own expenses and the rediculous fees.
Right
now I'm focussing on more commercial jobs, I lost a lot of money
because I couldn't work and repairing my hair cost a lot of money too.
In November it will be catalog and campaign season in Barcelona, so I
will definitely go there then (hopefully I'll shoot something for Zara
or Mango *o*) and right now we'll just have to see how the ship sails. It's
difficult when your income is so unpredictable, so I try to save up as
much money as possible for when times are more difficult. That's also
the reason why my closet isn't that big, it's more important for me to
have a bit of a buffer than to have 40 pretty dresses. |
