How many of you first time collegefags couldn't find parking today?

    >to make it /cgl/ related

did anyone of you fgts cosplay on your first day of class?

My classes started a week ago.
And no. I didn't cosplay on the first day. But I do want to cosplay for Halloween.

i don't have class until 6h30, and i get out at 9. shit sucks. i can either walk an hour to class or take 2 buses, but i don't know how long that'll take. ugh.

o_O My university started 2 weeks ago. You need a permit to park (almost $800 a year) and we have parking structures...so if you can't find parking, most likely you aren't allowed to be parking anyway.
My friend brought like 40 wigs from home. But no, no one I know is retarded enough to cosplay on campus (at least I fucking hope not).
There's this one chick in lolita, though. Been seeing her around since last year. She gives people the stink eye for looking quizzically at her gigantic cupcake-shaped petticoat. Despite the evil glares, she dresses pretty well, though.

hey at least you don't have gaps in between your classes.

    >morning class from 7:45 am till 9:50 am
    >night class from 6:00 pm till 8:45 pm

it's about a 20 min drive when there's no traffic and the gas it cost ffff but I'm not staying at school for 8 hrs doing nothing lol.

Classes in most northern states of the US start after Labor day. Almost all schools in northern states start after Labor day.
It's a tradition that comes from farming times when children and adults worked in fields tending to crops and such during the summer, having no time for being in school. During the fall and winter there were no crops to tend to so they had free time to go to school. Since this lifestyle has been phased out for most US residents, many areas are taking into consideration full year schooling, with 2-4 week breaks between semesters instead of 3 month break for summer.

nice trips and I know how that feel is. I have a few shirts like this katamari one and a few other obvious shirts and no one ever says anything. I find it almost bizarre if I saw someone wearing something I recognized like that I would slip in a "hey I like your shirt" as a walked by. Idk, I just moved to a place were there is little originality, it's almost feared even it's just quite sad.

Naw I don't. It's not so much a staff permit as it is a staff society permit. However it basically lets me park in staff parking spaces. Think a fancier version of a typical student parking permit. It was given to me by my cousin before he left for UCLA. Though when September ends, it expires, so I'll have to get myself a new one before then so I don't have to worry. Parking can be a total pain at my school sometimes despite the new parking structure.

I guess it's to be expected, I'm taking it because I need a history requirement and it happened to be the only one open at the time and fuck do I regret it. Actually started classes last week, and thankfully all my classes are pretty small/chill. In fact so far I haven't seen a single person wearing ears/tails or yelling "Baka!"

I think the reason my last school had so many weebs though, was because it was a community college, so there was a good chunk of people who went there that were still in high school and doing running start.

Seriously though, I have so many stories of people from my old school, I had to sit next to a girl for one class who literally spent the first day telling me how she wanted to try and date a girl because "girls look more like kawaii bishounen... lololol." My face when everyday she would sit by me and make really creepy sexual jokes about anime characters.

I only got into two classes, both of which are sewing related. In my first (begginers) class, about a third of the students mentioned costuming in their little class intro. At break,I went over to the nicest looking girl who had mentioned it and asked her what kind if costuming she meant. Of course it was cosplay so I excitedly told her I was a cosplayer too. She laughed and said it surprised her a whole lot and asked if I was sure. When I asked her why she said "BECAUSE YOU'RE WHITE,DUH!". Then she preceded to tell me about how she knows tuna-melt-chan and point out her greasy guy friend in class who's complying L.

in /cgl/ related news, there was a guy in my class who was standing in front of me as we waited to sign in. And I noticed his hair wasn't quite right, then i realized, that this man had bangs and he was wearing a very poor cheap wig.

My uni started around 4 weeks ago, although the second week of class was cancelled thanks to Irene (was only tropical storm though). I always have parking because I park on the opposite, less trafficed side of the campus, and go for a jog on my way to class.

No cosplay, but I am getting this vincent rave shirt made, probably gonna wear it on friday.

my classes started a couple of weeks ago.
already had multiple weeaboo encounters in my japanese class. one guy already invited his way into my hotel room for ikkicon. i said, "no, my boyfriend wouldn't like that." but he still thinks he's going with me. he yells out random anime catch phrases in class.

then there's the 200 pound BO girl who introduced herself as a GAWTHLOVING GORELOVING YAOILOVING DON'T YOU JUDGE ME aspie.

I had a nightmare the other day that I slept in on the first day and ran around campus trying to find the classrooms.

Thank god that class doesn't start until the 26th!

eleven years ago when I entered high school the weeaboo population hadn't exploded so my Japanese class was fairly normal. Four years later when I was about to graduate I'm sure the numbers were beginning to grow. I am kind of curious what it looks like now.

...I have just made myself feel kind of old.

This has happened to me once a week since classes started, except I was the one telling people I was engaged.

Apparently I am just retarded and can't tell the difference between someone being friendly and someone flirting with me.

here's a tip. To the women taking public transportation, especially in a major(ish) city. If someone asks if you have a boyfriend always say yes.
    Always.
And then make it sound like he's a beefy motherfucker that can fuck shit up. what is it with obviously old men asking women if they want to go out?
    >> Anonymous 09/06/11(Tue)20:32 No.4937505
I started classes two weeks ago and I STILL can't find parking anywhere and we have tons of garages. I really wish I wasn't a commuter or I'd just bike everywhere.
And no, didn't cosplay since I don't cosplay outside of cons or photoshoots. I usually try to keep my geek power level hidden.

This is one of the reasons I always wear headphones when I'm on the bus.
I even wear them when the mp3 player has gone dead.

I am actually engaged. Ring and everything. I guess no one looks for that shit while you're still in college.

Dammit, this happens to my fiance a bit for some reason. Either cause he looks sociable, or friendly or SOMETHING ... then I see that post and I lol.

Girls with boyfriends or husbands or lesbians should have something besides a ring to show that they are taken. Like something bright. Like yellow. And something to stand out. Like a star. And somewhere prominent. Like on the breast pocket. Yeah. And then well put them in camps.

    My rules for dating:

    0. Don't bother.
    1. She already has a boyfriend.
    2. She's not interested anyways.
    3. Don't bother.

Oh well. My choices are to struggle onward or an hero, and I just can't give that motherfucker Death the satisfaction.

It didn't take me a long time to find parking but I had to park in the very back. After class was out, I got a warning ticket on my dash because I accidentally parked in the staff section. Upon further investigation, there was a small sign wayyyy up by the front of the parking lot that said STAFF PARKING. I feel dumb but at the same time MAKE BIGGER SIGNS IN ABUNDANCE DAMMIT.
Well, I didn't cosplay and luckly saw no weebs.
Sage because I was just angry ranting.
