Who else thinks this girl is 100% full of shit?

    >>thirteen and assaulted for wearing lolita
    >>YOUR FRILLS AND CUPCAKES ANGER ME.

Now I realize a lot of people think the fashion is weird, but I'm having a hard time believing that someone would be outright violent.

Also shaving her head for charity? Which charity is this? Most of those hair for cancer kids want to cut it straight with a ponytail.

For some reason, I find it hard to believe that her Aunt who lives in Japan just decided to send her Lolita at age 10, her parents let her wear it every day, and the only reason she wouldn't have pics of any of her clothes is because she ~gave up the fashion~ at 13 after she got "beat up."
I bet she's also a model for AP in her spare time and secretly was writing ghost columns for the GLB at age 11 too.

especially since at 13 Lolita wouldn't even be all that wierd. I mean, middle school kids are mean and all, but she didn't make it out to be like she got made fun of at school or something.

While I'm not saying that I don't this her story isn't total BS, it is possible in some REALLY ghetto places, people will assault you for anything that seems "weird"

But I doubt if her aunt has enough money to live in Japan that her mom and dad are that poor that they live in the fucking extreme ghetto.

    >If Martin Luther King day had some marvellous feast to go with it, then I'd celebrate like hell. Fuck yeah, I'd get all up in that holiday. I'd even make decorations, and I never do anything craft-related.
Holidays without anything to eat involved are shit and pointless.
    >> Anonymous 08/13/11(Sat)23:26 No.4845876
I don't really get why it would matter if she were lying or not? Her question is somewhat legitimate, so why not answer it, tell her to read the rules, and let her fade away?
    >> Anonymous 08/13/11(Sat)23:45 No.4845924
    >>4845876
Because making up something like that is stupid as shit and reeks attention whoring. You don't see what is wrong about lying to impress people? Or lying to gain sympathy and loli cred?

It's not legit at all though. It's her hair! She can fucking figure out whether it's too short to style, she sees it all day. I don't get why she's even asking, she posted herself in a wig and whined about how herp-derp she so ugly! If she's been into lolita that long she should fucking know if the wig is ok!

There's a charity, I can't remember the name, that does that once a year in October. Women shave their heads in solidarity of breast cancer chemo patients. My college campus turns it into a bit night with free hair-cuts, donations to locks of love and head-shaving for donations.

Girls will get sponsors to attend that night and shave their heads once they reach a certain donation goal.

Is it just me, or does every new lolita coming in have some sort of "I was assaulted/molested/raped in lolita" story going on? I seem to remember a young girl not long ago saying she was assaulted, but it happened a few years ago so it's totally ok.

It's not just new lolitas. Sometimes, I feel like I'm the only one who has never had a seriously negative response to what I'm wearing (drunken frat boys on bar balconies don't count in my book).

Because this is 4chan. Why do we make fun of PT? She's technically not bothering anyone- we don't HAVE to look at her photoshoots. However, her delusions/huge overexagerrations are what draw people in.
If this girl wanted to know about whether her hair was ~loli enough~, she could've just posted a picture and asked. She didn't need to add stupid stories about her ~*~Japanese rorita cousin desu~*~ and her oh-so-terrible experience that traumatized her into not having a wardrobe anymore.

So...this isn't about the 13-yr-old girl in OP, but just speaking of people we think are full of shit, can we talk about this post: http://egl.livejournal.com/17683457.html

I realize that sometimes people are bitchy to new lolitas, but did this particular post ping anyone else's making-shit-up radar?

She said it happened at a CA con tea party, maybe girls that were there can tell us what happened? (she says she got "called an ita by the other girls at the tea party meet-up, and bad-mouthed for my first attempt at hand-sewing a set")

Maybe I am biased because IRL I have seen someone who was new to lolita take a veryyyy sugarcoated constructive crit suggestion by *one person* (along the lines of "You look so cute! I love the way you coordinated the ____ with the ____. I think a ______might make the outfit look even better, what do you think? :)") later describe it on the internet as being berated and mocked while multiple people called her an ita and laughed in her face over and over again.

The one where she lived in a magical wonderland where all the non-lolis walked around half naked? I remember that.

I dunno but posts like these make me actually want to laugh in someone's face. How do you make this shit up and then expect to be taken seriously online or in real life?

Every summer I feel like ditching the community completely. Sometimes not in summer, either. I know these raisin cupcakes can be found everywhere and it's not just in lolita. Really though, where are the real people hiding?
If you make up some lame stories, I do not consider you to be a real person anymore. You're just a cupcake.

Oh, I want to add to this.
There's enough people in the world to be able to pick and choose who you decide to associate with or consider a real person who deserves your attention.

Pick up your petticoats, girls, and stop giving these girls attention. Just let it pass with zero comments.

there are SO many girls saying "oh you poor thinggg, I'm so sorry you got assaulted!"
It makes me think they want to play up the whole "Lolitas are victims of a cruel close-minded world!" thing to feel more like a martyr.

Being assaulted for how you dress at 13 by other 13 year olds/ kids at your school is very common. Because that is the age where kids are little fucking shits.

I buzzed mine off for Comic Relif so maybe she did the same?
Also that post weirded me out somewhat, she made Lolita sound like a cult. 0.0
