Never unlocked all the endings... I think I've gotten half of them -- none of which were happy endings.

Love 999. I got all the endings, and trust me, you need to get the true ending for everything to be truly closed. My favorite character in the game is Ace. I want to see more Ace cosplay.

The best part about this game is getting all 6 endings will allow you to literally see everything the game has to offer. Playing in a certain order helps too. I feel pretty lucky that I played in an order that started from getting me zero information to getting me all the information possible.

I have a friend get the two "good" endings and he never bothered to play for the three bad endings. You miss out on a lot that way.

The best order to play in to gradually gain more information, ending-wise (without spoiling things): Knife, Submarine, Axe, Safe, Coffin/True. The last two automatically are coupled together, so you could even say the game has 5 endings.

Someone from cgl Skype Chat also told me another awesome thing once you beat the game. If you want, you can go to the main 999 website, where there's a list of open Q&A questions about the game from the fans to the creator. He answers a lot of things, and is pretty open about tidbits and information not in the game. It's awesome!

For me, I don't think it really matters which order you get the bad endings in. Personally I got Axe, Knife, and then Submarine. And I liked getting submarine as the third bad ending because its like you are getting closer and closer to finally finding a way out. But that is just me, since I didn't really tie everything in until the Safe ending.

Well in the answers on the official site, the creator said that what happened in 999 was only a prologue to a bigger scheme by June and Santa. That combined with the fact that after the whole incident, Junpei spent the rest of his life searching for June. So I think that leaves a lot of room for a sequel.

I tried to get Axe next and ended up with Coffin lolololol. Did not use a guide for both attempts. Clover hits my soft spots so I was sweet on her on that run.

I am going to try Axe again and then Sub. I did Safe since I was already spoiled out the wazoo so that when I do True the is no extra work.

But room 3 puzzles scare me. I gotta do what in the bathroom with a rotten body? The idea creeps me out but its the quickest way to Sub. The puzzles there seem almost as tedious as the true ending ones

Yes! 999 thread! I got all endings, all I got to say is "WHAT A TWEEST!"
I always recommend the Submarine ending because an ending where everybody gets Higurashi'd is a great way to start a mystery. I also recommend getting Axe just for that crazy face.

I was lucky to get the watch bundle at this year's AX but I heard they were leftovers so I don't know if Aksys keeps any extras (or, they're lying and only makes them during certain events).
Right now, I want to cosplay either Snake or Junpei. If I go with Junpei, I'm going to need a Clover, an axe, a blood pack and unsuspecting bystanders.

Ever17 is a lot slower and longer than 999, though arguably with a better payoff at the end. Expect far fewer gibs and tension (they're still there though) and a lot more hide-and-seek and chicken sandwich discussion.
The writer also worked on Remember11, which should also be checked out.

I have all the endings but true but halfway there. There is something on my mind:

How old are Clover and Snake and do they ever answer it? Snake looks barely older than Jumpy and June, both 21, but sounds so mature compare to the rest in the same age group.

Well Junpei is in college, and I'm assuming hes probably a freshman/sophomore. If we go by the flashbacks then we know that Snake is old than June and Junpei, and its obvious that Santa is older. So I would think Snake and Santa are in their late 20's or at the very least 24 or so. Then seven is probably the same age as Lotus. But I could have sworn their ages were listed too.
