Hm I tried talking to her, but all she did was handing me one of her cards so I could 'go check her costumes'.

So I was wondering if other people had had that kind of experience with her. It seems to me she agrees to 'talk' to only a definite kind of cosplayers aka the ones she considers popular.

Plus she mentionned on her FB there was some chat bout her on 4chan, so someone must have something to share, whether it's good or bad.

Julia gets invited to judge competitions quite often so that would help make her more well-known.

I don't think she only agrees to talk to popular cosplayers, I think it's because she's busy when she's at events.

She's meeehhh. I only met her in Paris last July. Maybe it is a cultural thing, but she was not very well thought of among the French.
Mostly because she acted as described: once she spotted Kaname-san, she totally snobbed everyone else and started following everywhere.

And, sorry to say that if she has fans hanging around here, but you know, in France with have a lot of very amazing and pretty cosplayers. Way more talented and pretty than that girl. So it wasn't really a good plan for her to show up in Paris with that kind of strange attitude.

It's good, she has confidence in herself, but I would say gives the impression she believes she is kind of a star, but she is really really not. It is perhaps just a cultural thing that we don't get her attitude?

I am curious to know how she acts in the UK or other countries. Or how she is received outside of France?

She judges at a few events in london I think. She's alright, but just out to publicise herself and is only interested in networking and making a name for herself.

I don't really know her but I know of her. We have mutual friends. I've heard that she is quite nice and she is quite pretty but nothing that really stands out to me.

I have seen her judge at a few events but not really much else. I think she is trying to be a 'famous cosplayer'. She doesn't appear to be nasty about it. Snobby, maybe. Nasty, no.

I did hear comments about her trips in France and Denmark as well. In France everyone was wondering who she believed she was to adopt such a behaviour. Same in Denmark, but they don't dare saying anything because she's one of the organizers gf.

I think she would become more popular if she was doing beautiful costumes. Cosplay doesn't need models, there are enough beautiful girls already.

So what, it's basically a random gal who counts on the fact she was once WCS representative (2006, Google says. But even since then, Singapore still sent crappy cosplayers to the final) and her bf is a cosplay organiser to take a little trip around Europe and hope some stupid people there will believe she's somehow popular?

Sad, sad story... If at least she was even popular in Britain or something. But then I really don't get why you guys are sending her around Europe if you don't even know who the hell she is?

I know her, we meet at conventions sometimes, talk for a few minutes, sometimes half an hour or so.
She's nice girl, a little to concerned with what people think of her, but overal a nice girl.
She judged at a few conventions. Generally, knowing the organisors of two of those conventions, I believe that she has usefull input.

Anyway, by the end of this topic, she will probably been burned by many that have never even met her, but I guess that is with everybody that comes on CGL.
