Do you have any contact with Terri directly? It's hard to give advice when we don't know how awful she really is. If it is just hygiene problems and stuff then maybe you can talk to her about it.

Personally, I would get the second hotel room.

I know it's such a bitch move, but you're going to have a worse time if you have to room with Terri.
It might be better to hurt her a little with the second hotel room, than room with her, have a shit storm ensue, and then her feel bad because she booked the room with Terri that you all had to stay in.

Leave Amber, book a separate room.

Tell Amber that you are fed up with Terri and that you won't room with Terri because she is really annoying and Amber won't change her mind about it.

If it were me, I'd tell her that I couldn't stand Terri, and people shouldn't be expected to put up with Terri for her because she doesn't have the guts to stand up to her.

If she's not man enough/too stubborn/whatever to stand up to T, a person she dislikes, then that's her problem, not yours.

This is good advice about the explaining. It's important for Amber to know she isn't being abandoned. Tell her that some of you guys hate Terri so much that you might blow up and ruin the con for her. So it is better for Terri as well if you are separated.

Kay, here's about Terri:

Last year at the con we've got ~6 people staying in our room, in addition to a few friends that have been wandering in and out. One of those 6 people includes Amber's sister. We all left to go to one of the late night panels, but Amber's sister was just under the age limit, so she had to stay in the room alone. After the panel's over, we go back to the hotel room to find Terri in only a bra, fawning all over a male friend of ours, Ned, whom Amber's sister had let into the room. Ned was looking pretty uncomfortable, but Terri was having fun plastering her boobs all up against his back. The sight itself was pretty hard to manage, as Terri isn't landwhale status but getting up there, but Ned and Amber were going through a complicated relationshit thing at the time, so while Ned was trying to pry Terri off of him Amber was pretty irritated. To try and get Ned away from Terri I made a big show about how I hadn't seen Ned in SO LONG and "Ned come sit with me and let's talk", so he slid out from under her floppy funbags and joined me against the hotel room wall to talk.
