turned to welcome back Matt. Piplup chimed in, "That brings us up to 9
people here, and who knows who else." Don, overlooking the ocean, sighed
softly. "Yeah that's nice, and where does that get us now, huh?" In
every way not a single land mass could be seen. No nearby landmasses, no
ships, no continents. "We're practically fucked out here man!" Smoker
was also a part of the rainy day parade, not adding to the easing of the
scenario. "I'm still not sure why we're still making smoke signals,
there ain't a fucking thing in the sky." "It doesn't matter," exclaimed
Maguma. "If we do something it's better than nothing. I'm sure someone
will see it if they fly by."
Matt took a seat on the log next to
Maguma and Smoker, wringing out some of the water in his shirt. "For
now, sit down and take a load off. We'll see if we can catch some fish
or something later, build some shelter, have dinner, and figure out this
whole mess later. We got no clue where we are, how we got here, and
when we're leaving, so none of us are in a hurry." Matt was right.
Whatever it was that brought them here, had definitely inconvenienced
them to the point of no return. They were alone. For now... |
